This guy does a fairly good job of breaking down elements of TRP, the PUA community, incels, and even BP ideology a bit. He even offers a lot of healthy advice to counter the RP teachings. As a woman it really helped open my eyes to some of the inner insecurities of guys in these communities.

Look at the incels video by Contrapoints. Though she addresses incels more specifically than redpillers, she does do a good job of debunking a lot of the overlapping ideologies (in my opinion they're not really that far removed, incels are just deeper down the rabbit hole).

Probably one of the best things is she goes about it in a way that doesn't come off like a personal attack, but rather she puts herself in the shoes of an incel and relates to it from her own personal experience, and uses a lot of humour.

While there may be great take downs in videos, I think a big part of the problem is getting info from platforms like you tube and tik tock in the first place. I'm not saying those platforms have no value, just that for political and social messages they are particularity poorly suited. Listening to some person make an argument in a video isn't a good way to get information on a topic. Your brain focuses more on the editing, diction, cultural biases that you have, etc. then it does the ideas being presented. That's even if you're being very careful to avoid biases.

You if you watch a video with great editing, with people who seem trustworthy to you, who communicate clearly, you're likely to judge their words as likely to be true on a subconscious level compared to those that are not. The same goes for things on TV. This may not lead you astray every time, but the validity of what someone is saying is not dependent on any of those things. So, it's likely that at some point you're going to accept things that are invalid just because of the packaging.

I'm not trying to knock you, OP, for seeking out this content. I just see a lot of guys come to this sub who got into Red Pill via You Tube videos, and they want to get out of it the same way. Instead, I think maybe don't go to You Tube for that kind of thing at all.

F.D. signifier has 2 part video on the manosphere. He dropped the first part about 2 weeks ago and some more are coming. He includes interviews with other youtubers to show how they almost fell in or how they got out.

Noah samsen also does a bunch of videos on the subject too.

The issue i tend to have with a lot of stuff about alphas and redpill is what (for the lack of a better term) I call the extremist fallacy. People look for the most extreme examples of manosphere and overall redpill content and use that as a representation of its entire structure. Its a form of content that seems designed to just reaffirm what the creator's base already believes rather than questioning what brings people to that community in the first place and if there are any alternative ways of addressing the problems that manosphere content claims to be an antidote to.

Its how MSNBC talks about Republicans and how seemingly all mainstream politicians talk about socialism and actual leftists/anarchists. They aren't interested in studying the problems that lead people to these communities and their views. They're more interested in what I call 'enlightened bullying'. Picking a target and just verbally/intellectually wailing on them on points that are easy to refute whilst ignoring the problems that even sparked the debate in the first place and understanding how these communities form and grow. Like what Ben Shapiro does on college campuses. The people who actually want to start off from a place of 'how do people get into this? What is this community doing for them that they like? Are there healthier alternatives that will give them that same feeling?' That is a tough starting point because it involves a lot of empathy, not sympathy, but genuinely attempting to put yourself in the shoes of someone who is struggling despite doing all the things you're supposed to do.

Its getting cheated on multiple times, its getting financially annihilated in a divorce, it's getting told all your great qualities before being dumped for a guy who possesses almost none of those qualities, its being told that looks don't matter but then realizing you're getting more attention after 5 months of being in the gym. Its seeing all your friends getting dates while you can't despite following their advice.

These are all the kinds of things that get men into that pipeline and I think some youtubers are genuinely interested in taking a more academic and look at these contexts. The best one at these so far is still the video that macabrestorytelling made on mens dating struggles. The whole thing is a very clear labor of love where he takes a different path and deconstructs gender roles as a whole. Its a breath of fresh air considering mens dating advice either falls into redpill 'you're not alpha enough' videos or 'its your fault, you're probably just a bad person anyway and thats why you don't get dates' videos usually by people who haven't had the experiences that men who come to the manosphere have had.
