My man and I are both 26. Met in December 2020. We started officially dating in January of 2021.

During our first few months of dating I already mentioned marriage. He was on the same page. We both knew what we wanted , and knew we weren’t getting any younger. I also made it clear to him that I’m not moving in with him until we’re engaged. I’m not gonna let myself get sucked into being the forever girlfriend.

We began looking for apartments a few months ago. And I knew a proposal should be coming up soon. Yesterday he proposed , and we’re planning on moving hopefully in together next month :)

Our wedding date is hopefully gonna be in 2023. If I can find a venue that can accommodate our cultural needs.

Just wanted to make this post because I’ve seen many women waste their prime years on men who have no intentions of marrying them. I don’t believe we should give strict deadlines or timelines. But men generally know that they want to marry a woman not too long after meeting her. It shouldn’t take 10+ years for him to make that decision.
