Fantastic resource, thanks for sharing!

I envy Canada for having a charity like CAFE. I am going to learn more about them and how they work. One never knows ;)

I have no idea if any of this applies to where you are, but there are resources in other countries, for example:

Americans have 1 in 6 for male victims of sexual assault, Dad's Divorce for help with child custody issues, and The Domestic Violence Hotline is explicit that their resource is for men, as well. Generally, they also have The National Center for Men, Men's Rights, and The National Coalition for Men.

In the UK, there is the Men's Advice Line and Mankind Initiative for male victims of DIPV, the National Male Survivors Online Hotline for male victims of sexual assault, and regarding custody and family issues they have Families Need Fathers. Generally, there is the Men & Boys Coalition.

Australia has MensLine for a variety of issues (mental health, DIPV, divorce, custody) as well as 1in3 specifically for DIPV. For Men's Rights generally, they have Australian Men's Rights Advocates.

New Zealand has a list of local support groups for men on their website for their Men's Rights organization, MENZ.

India has the Save Indian Family Foundation which "fights for men’s human rights and seeks to protect men and their families," and it includes a list of phone resources.

Beyond these, Men's Group appears to be a resource for all English-speaking men, from what I can see it isn't associated to a particular nationality, with local support groups internationally placed, and it also offers online resources for those unable to attend local groups as well as a podcast and YouTube channel.

I only speak English so I sort of hit a wall here haha I can try to find others but hopefully these help someone!

"Men's Rights" (mensrights.com) is ran by a law firm that specializes in family law.

They run that website to help drive potential clients to their law firm.

The website itself is not that bad and contains a lot of really useful information. But I probably wouldn't put it on the same level as CAFE or the NCFM.

Thanks for that! I wasn't sure whether to add them since they seemed to be more about amplifying the voices of other activists, but I thought since this post was about research CAFE was spreading awareness for they would be useful in that respect, as well. But yeah it isn't quite the same thing.

I also envy Canada for the same reason.

[–]genkernels 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And I envy the US for having the NCFM. There's basically nothing a lawyer could do for equality under Canada's legal framework.

This article goes in to depth about how the courts and the police discriminate agents men it's a good read and I hope this helps people understand about what's canada is like a bit regarding men.

I will save this link, Ty OP

As a Canadian, Lemme say this country is utterly hopeless on this topic. All of our national political parties except one is monopolized by misandrists, and the other one is GOP lite. No thanks!

OMG, that's amazing!!! the world is waking up!!!!!!!

CAFE is awesome.

I still doesn’t go far enough to recognise that many men are prosecuted for crimes that they were in fact the victim of. Often resulting in a sentence and destruction of life choices because the entire system just doesn’t work and is completely corrupt.
