For me and alot of men I know personally see the restrictions as more political theatre then anything that would actually help and in some cases seem to cause more harm then good and at the same time we ignore the elephant in the room about the horrible general health of the public do to our lazy lifestyle and eating habits

Objectively, if you don't carry any risk factors (obesity, smoking, pre-existing cardio-vascular or lung disease, age > 55), Covid is pretty harmless and your risk to get sick to the point that you need to stay in the hospital is rather slim. I got it early on in Feb/March 2020 and it felt at worst like a heavy flu.

Additionally, trust in institutions (esp media) and thus motiviation to comply with what they tell is most likely lower in men (the gendered agreeableness difference combined with media's constant anti-male bias).

Finally, society has taught men throughout their lives that their bodies and beings are worth less. 'Women and children first', the draft and so on aka male disposability. If a man doesn't comply with male disposability / gynocentrism he's shamed by progressive feminists and traditionalists/conservatives alike. The one thing they both fundamentally agree on is 'when in doubt, sacrifice men'. Most men have internalised this view of men to a degree and thus are used to move to the / be in the 'takes the most risk' category.

Mainly because I know Covid is never going to go away since it’s a virus. It’s here to stay forever as a fun present. It’s about control with the government and I’m tired of it trying to control everything. I refuse to wear a mask now unless I’m in a hospital or visiting the elderly.

I caught COVID a couple weeks ago at an establishment that required me to wear a mask the whole time. I complied with the restriction and yet I still caught COVID there. I'll be less inclined to mask up in the future seeing as how it didn't do me any good when I actually needed it, and besides, the illness was less severe than an average cold.

Perhaps this line of rationalization is a more common thought process in men, as opposed to with women who might on average be inclined to listen to "experts" because of their more agreeable nature. Perhaps also the more emotional nature of women (not all women, just on average) might make them more inclined also to mask up out of fear, in spite of any ability to objectively assess actual risk level.

Men take more risks in all sorts of areas. The reason is that men are under more constraints (have less power) than women. That's why men will risk their lives down a coal mine or deep sea diving for a living and women won't.

Statistically speaking, men are more likely to be the primary provider in there households. To a lot of people, masks are associated with government demanding they loose their business, their job or in some other way make it much more difficult to fulfill that provider role. Is it any wonder why men are more likely to tell these governments to shove their masks up their…?

I appreciate your work on men's health. I think you are doing very crucial work, with worldwide implications.

Anyone doing such a far reaching work, though, should have in mind that it limits his expression in other areas.

Take e.g. example from Rollo Tomassi. He's quite conservative, but he doesn't do political analyses because it would smudge his main message.

Vaccine scepticism is quite a controversial issue. There is no reason to estrange people from your main men's mental health points by engaging in it - or in any other so controversial issue, for that matter.

I think that it's due to men having higher variation in intelligence. There are more men geniuses than women geniuses, but there are more male dumbasses than women dumbasses. The dumbasses are the ones ignoring covid protocol, and that group is mostly male.
