The annoying thing is I saw one of them trying to argue that when people say "Men are X" its usually taken to mean ALL men when they may just be exaggerating and claim that saying "Not All Men" turns the argument into one of semantics.

Don't these people realize that effective communication requires that you be as unambiguous about what you are saying as possible?

Which means if you say "Men are Pigs" and because you failed to add a quantifier to the sentence it gets communicated as "All Men are Pigs" then you have failed to communicate your idea correctly and it is your fault if someone then calls you out for it.

Seriously.. how fucking hard is it to use quantifiers like Some, Many, A lot, A few, etc?
If they did that then the statement wouldn't be seen as a 'generalization' because you are quantifying it and thus are explicitly communicating that you do not men 'all men'

Do that and shock horror.. people won't NEED to say "Not all men" anymore..

Also, there was something about how saying "Not All Men" invalidates the person's real lived experience.
And to that I have to say, Does that mean that as a man who is a survivor of violence at the hands of women I should be allowed to generalize women as child abusers because of my "Real Lived Experience" and if a woman got offended that I didn't say "SOME Women" or "A Few Women" responds with "NOT ALL WOMEN" I would be justified in telling her to stop invalidating my lived experience?

There were more things there but I decided to nope out before I gave myself a heart attack with the stress of reading anymore..

Things is, the "Not all men" problem could be partially adressed by simply having better mental health services for both genders, equally. Way less serial killers, rapists and other violent men to worry about( I said partially). Now that there are way less violent men women around the world, society can finally stop thinking of men as predators and treat them like actual human being with their own emotions. Its just a fantasy though

The easiest way to see if an argument is gender hinky is to switch it up and see the results. If a man went into that thread and said that "all women are dangerous false acusers" they would be slammed. Painting half the population with one brush and then getting into hysterics when called out is disingenuous to say the least. Too many people on social media think that the upvotes of their fringe echo chambers mean that what they say is right.

Far too many women and simps on this app use horrific misandry and then think downvoting people calling them out somehow proves them right. Honestly? I take their downvotes as proof that I am correct.

The problem with the statistic that feminist use to describe their problem is that they use the condamnation statistics and those are thé worst to describe reality simply because if a man go to the police telling them that they got râpée by a woman they have great chance being laughed at, or even getting themselves being put in jail for rape.

On the other side it's true that even if a woman go to the police she got nearly 50% chances being laughed at. ( Increase if you go to rural areas).

But in the end mens can't get a woman condamned for violence or SA. While women have greater chances of seing their raper or violent compagnon getting condamned.

The only group of people you can 100% generalize and get away with it is men . It’s 100% acceptable to say “not all women” or “not all (pick your race)” That’s the problem not being addressed.

My god the leaps some of those comments go to to justify blatant sexism is staggering, i hope shit like this changes with the younger generation and im guessing it will with gender becoming more blurry
