It's interesting that people assume you will abandon any kind of solidarity with your former gender just because you changed genders. We are all about identity politics and putting people into boxes. It's sad.

Sounds like identity politics at its finest. Women CAN support men’s rights, just like many men were there 100 years ago fighting along side women for the right to vote.

Identity politics is a plague on society. The idea that you shouldn’t have your own opinion as an individual and that you should share the beliefs of your group is ridiculous.

The question you'd have to ask is how "why are you supporting men's rights" is a question any normal person should ask. Why wouldn't you support anyone's rights? I'd support the rights of the nastiest criminal to humane treatment in prison, fer chrissakes. Who the hell criticises someone for supporting rights?

Thanks for supporting men, for me i dont care who you are as long as you are concerned with our rights. Do you think it has something to do with you being raised as a boy before your transition? Or is it for another reason ?

Well, if you're a transwoman, that means you've spent at least some part of your life being socially treated as a man, so it makes sense for you to care about men's rights simply from that perspective.

In my view, trans perspectives are very welcome in the men's movement. Trans people often know what it is like to be on the receiving end of both gender roles and thus are in a position to make a more informed comparison than others.

If you have been, are being, or want to be socially perceived as (and thus treated as) a man, then men's rights matter to you and you are welcome to contribute. So thank you for speaking out!
