I’m a full time single father. The mother done the runner and left me with my two daughters and to answer your question yes you are entitled to support abut I suggest getting onto it asap because it may take some time before you receive any while they process it. Your post is confusing and so most of the answers you have received are incorrect. This is your comment farther down:

So you helped raise her biological son along with your own biological son, while living with her for four years, and then she and her son moved out.

You are not currently entitled to child support for raising only your own child.

You are not and would not have been entitled to child support for raising her biological child, because you cannot collect child support while still living in the same household.

This is U.S. law. You may feel that equitably you are entitled to compensation for child care, but she may also feel that equitably she is entitled to compensation for helping to financially support you and your son for four years. Neither one of you has any chance of winning in court.

Legally, she owes you nothing. It is not her duty to support or care for or even communicate with you and your child. If you were married then alimony may have been possible depending on your State's laws. It is not possible when you are not married. If you were married, she still would not owe any child support for your biological child unless she had legally adopted him. She can block all contact with you and your son right now and never see or give any money to either one of you ever again.

This sub likes to dump all over marriage because of divorce laws. This is an example where OP would be far better off if he had married her. OP would have been entitled to half of all assets accumulated during the marriage, and likely some limited alimony for a couple years, due to being a stay at home father for her biological son. No marriage means OP is entitled to zero.

You have a very good case for child support, and I think the odds are good of it actually being awarded.

However, the reality is that nobody is going to make her pay. Women default on child support payments far more often than men do, on average a mother ordered to pay child support pays only 40% of what she is required to. There is next to zero enforcement on deadbeat mothers.

Theoretically yes, but know that the family court is rigged in woman's favor and it's an unlikely gamble that you will land on an egalitarian judge.

Make sure you have proof your ex. was happy with you the last time you spoke, because she will pull every lie in the book to get you dismissed and/or send to jail!

I would argue that you should take her for support given that special needs kids cost significantly more that average.
