Dont think too much about the LGBTQIA+ community when thinking about attraction, and all that. Its seriously a whole other "game" getting played there, just the mere fact that they're a minority, where they really dont have much chance of attracting the majority(they might get the occasional bicurious person, but getting a real monogamous relationship within the community is somewhat harder than getting one as straight)

I’m bi and weight isn’t an issues in either sex really

Women are prettier and in general put in a lot more effort, I meet more attractive women than men

I'm betting this isn't about "lower" or "higher" standards. More like "Different" in some way.

Heterosexual attraction is influenced by Dawkinsian genetic imperatives. Homosexual attraction probably doesn't work the same way.

Bisexual women do on average have lower standards for everyone according to statistics. More likely to be attracted to a multitude of body types, more likely to have casual sex and wanting sexual variety.

In terms of physical appearance women tend to have more lax standards of what theyll date. This is why youll occasionally see younger women with older, uglier dudes if theyre rich.

If a woman partners with a man, she is (subconsciously) evaluating him on his genetic quality as well as other things like his ability to provide for a kid, take care of a kid etc...

If she partners with a woman, there is no reason why she would care about her genetic quality because she isn't going to reproduce with her. If she reproduces it's going to be with a third party and her female partner is going to help raise the kid, so she will only care about the genetic quality of that third party, not her partners.

So yes, women have higher standards for men because reproduction is on the table with men but not women so it's literally more standards.

There are also other more practical reasons but that would be the core reason.
