Thousands of dads are left in shock as DIY paternity tests soar. Up to 30,000 tests are being performed every year, says Alphabiolabs. In the UK about 750,000 babies are born every year. Feminists want the test to be illegal without the written consent of the mother.

Mother-of-two, 40, falsely branded a neighbour a sex offender because he 'made too much noise building a guinea pig hutch in his garden'. It seems for many women if they do not get their way they make a false sex allegation knowing a man is not protected by the law.

Yet another article that acknowledges boys are struggling academically, but fails to acknowledge the purposeful discrimination in favor of girls and against boys.

[–]rabel111 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Don't you love the way the author tries to segway the discussion to boys being biologically inferior to girls in terms of language development? While it's awesome to see the issue actually acknowledged foronce, instead of made invisible, this feminist eugenics is arguably even more damaging than the sexist humiliation and degradation boys are exposed to from pre-school through to college post grad.

[–]63daddy 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah. I agree there are differences, but it’s only “inferior” if the status quo is to teach the way that’s best for girls. If we’d teach the way that’s best for boys, girls would be lagging and considered “inferior” learners.

I bet the deliberate discrimination against boys has nothing to do with it.

Another article reporting that boys are fundamentally broken and need to conform to our education system, rather than admit the education system is completely broken for boys and needs to be rebuilt.

Boys speak later and have smaller vocabulary than girls in early childhood because parents don’t talk to or read with their boys as much as they do with their girls. It’s not an inherent biological difference that boys are not as language-adept as girls, it’s a failure of a sexist society.

Fuck redshirting. It’s an awful idea.

Last time I posted on this topic, someone PM'd me and started a whole discussion about how there can't be any systemic or inherent bias in regarding the treatment of boys in school, it's instead that boys are inherently cognitively worse (slightly more susceptible to language delay disorders, mature slower than girls) and this causes them to fall behind academically. He said I was "yelling discrimination".

So I posed a simple question:

If you're asserting that boys are cognitively worse-off (for a variety of reasons beyond their control), then should not the school system be adapted to address these innate inconsistencies between the sexes?

Because to do otherwise therefore suggests that the school system is tailored towards the developmental schedules and cognitive criteria of girls, not boys.

When I asked that question he immediately pivoted away from academics and said "But boys catch up later and they enroll in occupations that pay better than girls".

It's just impossible to discuss this topic.

"There's no bias against boys! They do worse because they're innately different to girls! They have more innate learning disorders!"

"Say that's true. But if boys and girls are innately different, and this is the reason that girls do better academically, doesn't that de-facto mean that the school system and academics is built around the performance of girls, not boys? Isn't that by definition an innate and systemic bias towards girls / against boys?"

"..."

"Well boys earn more money later!"

Marvelous. Just... marvelous discussion there.

Yep. Shouldn't the whole "equity" thing be trying to poor extra resources into boys early education? It's whole schtick is to identify underperforming segments and give them extra resources, pulling resources away from those achieving above the curve if necessary (in this case girls).

[–]WingsofSky 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree. To bad the mods want to ban you the moment you say something they disagree with.

[–]Lolaindisguise 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Not all boys have academic issues

[–]Grand_Ad_864 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I love that when you use biological determinism to explain disparities that negatively effects women, the entirety of society would straight-up attack you. Remember the doctor who claimed that female doctors work less than males getting sacked over his statement. But when males are at a disadvantage it is perfectly okay to use biological explanations. Boys are just biologically defective, they develop later, and they need to be held back they say. While completely ignoring the institutional discrimination against boys.

[–]ERiC_693 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The arguement boys mature slower is flawed because asian boys outscore everyone when they are in the West even outscoring western girls. This shows there's an attitute to learning thats negative to boys.

Its also funny how the fact boys are immature is used as an excuse for the gap when if boys are disadvantaged they should be helped, no?

Then the sex who scores higher is helped with special female only stipends, scholarships, bursaries, PhDs etc. AND has government funded coding, engineering classes to help the higher scoring group into stem. In Australia (Sydney Tech Uni) they now give female applicants in their SATs a boost in grades to help them into STEM. AGAIN the higher scoring sex gets a boost even though they dont need it and come from female run schools in the leadup to Uni.

Maybe you should just stop being biased to girls then. Hmm?

[–]MR_Shigitoshi 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yet again, everyone agrees there is a problem

Yet again, absolutely nothing will change in terms of meaningful action

Nothing in the mainstream as per usual

[–]WingsofSky 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Lawsuits are about the only thing that might change the discrimination. That's a big "Might".

[–]duckyboys8 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Why? So they can go to college and face a possible life time of debt? Student loans are the only civil debt in America that can't be declared in bankruptcy or doesn't have a statute of limitations. I'd advise any guy to avoid even the possibility of that kind of economic situation like the plague. Especially since men are judged almost exclusively on our economic prowess (or lack thereof)

[–]Saysonz 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

While there is definitely a risk of a pointless and large student loan the vast majority of high paying jobs are locked behind the wall of a degree so you have to take that risk.

That's the only reason they care... so they can take money from the largest earning demographic

Just read this. Wow—not only is it as bad as OP promised, but OP didn’t even mention the flagrant trans-bashing in the second paragraph. Disgusting.
