What people object to is the forcing of babies to be circumcised when they have no choice. If you want it done as an adult, go right ahead…your body, your choice. However to force genital mutation on a baby is cruel and inhumane and is utterly reprehensible. We rightly condemn female genital mutilation and it’s illegal but the same is NOT true for males, we have zero legal protection and this is wrong on every level.

Circumcision was designed to reduce sexual pleasure. There are different levels of harm but the harm is still there. I can't have an orgasm from oral sex because I literally don't feel much.

My frenulum is completely gone and I was cut very tight. I had to do tugging for 10+ years to get some moveable skin. Maybe you have more foreskin remnant remaining and don't feel as harmed as some of us here. I think we shouldn't be afraid to raise awareness that circumcision of baby boys is harmful and barbaric and causes sexual problems later in life.

If you personally haven't expirenced problems with it that's fine other people have and the stats are clear on that. Its not us hating you its a fact as a matter a factvits quite the opposite of hate but empathy.

And your right on principle it shouldn't be done.

Imagine this for a second. We lived in a world were people could cut the legs off of babies with no refraction and it was fine.

I'm sure that their would be some people who grew up to not care about not having legs and not see it as a problem and those people may come to find it disgusting that others treat them differently than people who have both legs.

They may even say that some people need to amputate their legs for medical reasons all the time.

These people existing those not stop this theoretical practice from being grossly injust.

You are not fucked up, conversations about this topic from an intactivist perspective should never be about shaming someone nor to make them feel uncomfortable in their bodies or with their sexuality.

I think it’s also critical though to understand that people who argue against (routine) neonatal/infant circumcision without medical necessity will inevitably point out how the foreskin affects their sexuality. I would not take such arguments as an indication that they want you to feel mutilated.

I've actually never read that on here. I've read of some men who are angry that it happened, but most are accepting that it happened to them, as they've never experienced anything else. They, like me, wonder why this is a routine thing in much of the US, and want it to stop, but encounter a lot of pushback. We wonder why society is so bent on doing this thing that's entirely pointless to infants, and can be done to those who have a true medical need when that need arises. But to those multitude it's already been done to, life goes on. It's just the way it is, but that doesn't mean we need to keep doing it.

As for the rest of your rant, most of the debates focus on freedom of choice, not "cut is bad."

You seem to be in denial of the harm that has been done, and are stating made up facts to justify that denial.

It is not people who have been circumcised who are fucked up freaks, it's those who think it's alright to do it to babies.

Just because it feels good to you doesn't mean it's nice for all circumcized people cause for many it doesn't Also just because it feels okay to your doesn't mean it feels like it originally should had someone not made that choice for you. And if you know the Convo is about consent and a baby having no choice i don't see then why you're so pressed. I've deen stated in most posts and i have even on my own comments stated that the only reason you should make that choice for someone is if you're having difficulties and need to solve it in this manner

Yeah, it’s possible to advocate for an end to genital mutilation while still respecting its victims. Your genitals are amazing no matter what kind of “damage” they’ve suffered; pleasure is about how you pursue it, not the tools you happened to be given for it by chance. We really should emphasize that nobody’s genitals are “lesser”. The thing that’s wrong isn’t what you have, it’s that you weren’t the one to choose it.

Nobody can really compare circumcised vs uncircumcised because you can’t have two experiences of what it’s like growing up with that particular assemblage of nerve endings. The idea that there could be a difference is worth investigating, because science, but that has nothing to do with a difference in what the genitals themselves are worth. It’s all just shitting on each other out of defensiveness. Uncircumcised people got told they were gross, so they told circumcised people they were lame. But the truth is there’s a lot more variety than just that, so a debate between the two doesn’t actually address how pleasure works for different people.

There are people whose genitals have been damaged by injury or illness; people who have had to have reconstructive or transformative surgery; people whose genitals have been disfigured in war either by rape or by castration and mutilation (and also rape). When I was trying to fetch my source on this, the google results were dominated by news from the war in Ukraine and video of the castration of a Ukrainian man. That isn’t the only war happening right now. Many, many people don’t have an “intact” penis, and I don’t think we realize just how many people we alienate when we glorify “unblemished” genitals.

The biggest sex organ is the brain. Your genitals are just a footnote. People can literally undergo hypnosis to experience intense orgasms, sometimes without any physical stimulation at all. I can’t speak to that myself, but apparently it’s pretty good. Sexual pleasure is available to everybody, no matter what your genitals look like, and ultimately they don’t even determine how much pleasure you can experience. Your worth as a sex partner isn’t about your genitals, which is something I think a lot of guys (and people in general) need to hear.

So, first and foresk..most:

People don't understand that circumcision isn't a one side fits all. There is low, medium and high cuts, loose and tight cuts, Medium and looser cuts are the best of both worlds. I had this done around 19 and 20 (am 29 now) and wouldn't go back to my old penis for anything.

When it's done on babies it is more risky because the penis is smaller and it might not have developed a frenulum yet. Plenty of infant circumcisions turn out fine but the infant nor oftentimes the mother, or even the surgeon, have any clue how important it is to keep as much inner foreskin and the frenulum as possible. Half of my penis is inner foreskin and my frenulum is mostly intact (mostly is enough, it's just as sensitive as before).

If my orgasms could get more intense I think I would literally have a heart attack and die. The guys who get really screwed over are the ones who have it cut tight and with almost all or all of their inner foreskin/frenulum removed (most inner foreskin removed = frenulum removed every time actually). These are the sweet spots, they respond to all the sensation and are extremely sensitive. And no they don't desensitize rubbing on clothing, that's kind of a silly myth. The glans does, but that area was never exactly pleasant to me anyway, not like the shaft.

After the glans did become less sensitive, it only made it that much quicker for me to go for round 2 or 3 during sex (or by myself, gotta have self-love haha).

Anyway, yeah, circumcision isn't just one big thing. There are styles, amounts of skin cut off that differ, and if things still feel great for you then you probably had a good circumcision whether you were an infant or not. You can look up the styles and where the skin is cut. As far as I'm aware most infants get medium cuts nowadays though because many doctors understand the importance of this skin. Keyword being many, there are also many who don't. I had a really long foreskin that would never stay pulled back and sex with it was not as much fun. Then after I'd cum my head would be so sensitive it'd take like 30 minutes before I could even attempt another one.

There are ways to "tape" the skin back or whatever but I decided I wanted it cut off and was lucky I'd done my research. My surgeon seemed to understand what style I wanted and why so I'd have probably been fine but still. Nobody should have the most sensitive parts of their shaft removed unless they want to not be able to cum at all (I guess some few people might like the idea of going for a long time). Maybe these people like pleasing their woman more than themselves and it gives them a specific type of pleasure beyond physical. A vagina is a nice place to be regardless. Masturbation would be completely useless with a dick like that, though.

Is jerking off a bit more of a hassle, not really. A dry hand feels as good as my skin did, lube ruins it IMO, that's probably for the ones who had it all cut off or have not enough loose skin to just go dry with their hand. It's worth noting this "ridged band" is not always completely removed as it wasn't for myself. So all in all I guess I got lucky, but my ridged band was nothing compared to my frenulum/inner foreskin.
