I understand this is not necessarily women's fault alone, but rather the result of societal pitfalls that put much pressure on men growing faster into their adulthood

But that still being said, why am I as a man only in his early 20s already expected to buy a house, get married, have kids and sell my soul to corporate America, where as meanwhile a woman can literally mature into adulthood at her very own "comfortable" pace? I thought feminism was about promoting female independence and self-sufficiency, what happened? Did society fuck up the script on that?

Which is fine, honestly, if society wants to infantilize and over-coddle women, well what much can I do?

But I think you get the point, as a man I deal with a very burden of responsibility and ownership, because by default being a man derives from being the so called driver of your own life, but that very same philosophical approach isn't pushed into women, and I exaggerated some of the talking points to demonstrate what coming of age is all about
