"I’m glad that I can vote, work, pay taxes, own my own home, and bank account", writes a supportive woman who objects to feminist aggression against men and boys yet believes she owes historical feminism a tribute. Unknowingly, by this response she in fact supported one of the core falsehoods devised in feminism to incite women against men, by making them believe men never cared about women until "feminism came! and gave us rights!" Here is my response to this dear woman.

None of those things you mention are thanks to feminism. Up until six years ago, in each country there were no more than a few feminists who would attempt to take credit for those things. The millions of people in every western country - just six years ago - all attributed these rights to the general humanism that followed the enlightenment.

We all knew, just six years ago, all women included, that "feminism" was invented in the 1970s and has nothing to do with the vote, banks, or property ownership, all already available to women when feminism appears. We all knew that all these were attained because of men and women who operated as part of the general framework of democracy and humanism to attain equality for all.

Only six years ago, almost no feminist associated the word "feminism" with the historical term suffragists either, and almost no woman could even pronounce "suffragists" correctly. Because the entire idea of feminists that "women should thank us for their rights and we have been here for 150 years - we just had another name - suffragists", is an entirely new narrative that was spread because of social media and is entirely false.

First, feminists from the 1970s have nothing to do with suffragists. Historically they had no relation to them and never said they "are continuing the suffragists". And for a good reason. Feminism which was invented in the 1970s came from the left (when a few wealthy women departed form the civil rights movement and from its universalism to endorse separatism - "every person will choose some attribute he or she happen to have, treat all humans with that attribute as 'a group' separated from humanity, and fight only for the rights of what he/she now regards as 'his/her group' instead of everyone supporting everyone"). Suffragists on the other hand, who operated 120 years earlier, came from the right. Suffragists were racists and conservative (right-wingers, no one said here that being from the right means racism - this was said here of suffragists, not about you). They not only requested that blacks won't have a vote but submitted to one president a birth control plan whose sole purpose was to annihilate the the blacks of the US by birth control. I'm so sorry that this is the case, but that's the factual history. Suffragists led together with religious conservative organizations a ban on alcohol and their most significant activity was in that area, and it reached a change to the constitution that made alcohol illegal. Suffragists are not feminism, two completely different movements.

Recently feminists wanted to be able to say to women that women "owe" feminists "rights", so they started arguing that "feminism is very old - started with the suffragists". Up until six years ago no one argued this. Feminists are arguing this because they never gave women anything, so they are trying to take credit for things they are not responsible for. Suffragists are not the ones who created equality either (general universal democratic humanism is responsible for that), but feminists try to create in women the idea that "if feminism actually starts with suffragists and suffragists started 170 years ago and during those 170 years rights were given - then suffragists must have been the ones who got them! and hence feminism is what did that because feminism and suffragists are the same thing!" All lies, sorry. You owe your rights to the same people I owe my rights to. They are called humanists. And they were of both sexes.

It's a feminist lie and incitement that "men never cared about women's rights - until feminism came! and gave women rights!" Lie. Feminism started in the 1970s, after women already had rights. Men and women together, with male leaders, are the ones who created those rights. The vote, ownership, schooling. The only two things feminists changed in terms of rights was Roe vs. Wade 1973 (while not passing a law for half a century despite having a majority in the public that supports a law, causing the court to send it back to the legislature), and passing a ruling that forces the modern men's monastery called "male-only army base" to take in women without forcing women's modern monasteries to accept men (and while women didn't lack mixed army bases), that is, adding discrimination instead of reducing it. Men do care about women and did include them in rights, feminism is attempting to deny that to be able to incite women against men.
