I agree. The timepill is the most brutal of all. You can never make up for lost time. The clock is ticking relentlessly. Missed out on teen love and there's nothing that can change that.

And things only get worse with time:

In your teens you miss out on teen love.

In your 20s you miss out on having the first real long term adult relationships.

In your 30s you miss out on having a family and kids. It goes on.

I decided to be born into the race with the lowest smv on average.

I decided to be born into a religious group that has the most current modern day negative stereotypes.

I decided to be born with a deviated septum which forced me to mouthbreath and thereby result in a recessed facial structure.

I decided to be born into a low income single parent household.

Changing is a process shaped by the horizon of expectations a person can have, and such horizon is set by the interpretation of outer stimuli. You can change your outlook of life but you can't change the events that happened to you over which you didn't have any say.

Besides change is a thing that gains validity retroactively instead of proactively. A person that does nothing but luckily find themselves in a different situation can claim to have changed simply because they're using their mindset on a different situation, while a person who underwent radical change can still see their grasp on their own lives destroyed by factors outside their control.
