The thing that always gets me, is the steak scene.

Red pillers value facade, lust, status, materialism, and luxury spending over anything else.

It’s literally how they draw children into the ideology.

In the Matrix, the red pill was about leaving all those lizard brain desires for the real world… which is about depth, simple pleasures, and placing a value on the beauty of natural life.

That steak scene, where Cypher said “I know this steak doesn’t exist. I know that when I put it in my mouth, the Matrix is telling my brain that it is juicy and delicious. After nine years, you know what I realize? Ignorance is bliss.”

That’s what really made it clear what the movie was about.

Red pill is so flawed to a rational person, but when you’re under 18 years old, it’s hard to want to be skeptical about a guy with women all over him (hired models), Bugattis in his driveway (crime money), a cigar in his mouth (masculine movie character prop), and a wildly charismatic demeanor.

If he asked everyone to jump off a bridge they’d likely do it.

After all he literally convinced Adin Ross, among other fans, to shave his head because he doesn’t "deserve" hair.

When really, we know that it’s just a psychopath who can’t handle having a “handicap” like baldness, so he tells his fans to be bald too. Sick shit.

While they stole the idea from the film, I think red pillers just like it as a metaphor because it represents the idea that there is a "real" world only some people see behind the fake one that has been constructed for people to believe in. If you take the red pill and see the real world, you're special, you're seeing what many others do not see.

The fake world, in their eyes, is the one where the patriarchy is real and women have been historically oppressed and feminism was / is necessary.

The real one, in their eyes is well... all the nonsense they spew instead.

The Matrix is one of my favorite films and I love discussing the philosophy of it and it’s themes.

RP really bastardized terms from the movie, and I don’t think anyone in RP actually understands the many complex themes and philosophies presented in the film.

Many followers are probably too young to have seen the movie, kinda makes me feel like a dinosaur lol

As it turns out the Wachowskis are transgender and they created the Matrix to promote the acceptance of other genders.
