Realized it wasn’t working. Then hit the realization that it was actively harming relationships. Then realized I was doing better with women before I started all that bullshit, so I stopped.

I was happier before and had more female friends.

What really confuses me is how well "red pill" content is rated on internet. For example the book "The Rational Male" has a lot of 5/5 ⭐ ratings on Amazon and also youtube rp content has a lot of likes. Should not be there more negative reactions? Or are only red pillers liking that stuff and other people just dont know this content exist?

This sub and especially the pinned posts helped. Was suspicious early-on that it was unfairly categorizing women, but didn’t always have the arguments against it. Learning about attachment theory also helped to realize that people attach for many reasons, not just wealth, status, etc.

Jordan Peterson helped too with his observation that going for notches on your bedpost (something I never got into thankfully) was a bit predatory and psychopathic bc it involves roping people’s hearts and leaving them, at least most of the time.

I don’t bunk I was ever indoctrinated. I just found the statistics to be interesting.

But not in a broody moody way. Like 50% of marriages getting divorced suck. But so are traffic accident statistics and cancer and all of that. It’s very possible to read stats, and not let them ruin you, lol.

But to echo what someone else mentioned above, it’s important to recognize if something is helping you, or hurting you. Being able to take a step back and re-examine a situation with critical thought is important.

Yeah, car accidents are bad, but I’m not going to go homeless either. So ya know, sometimes ya just roll with the statistics and then prepare when you can.

I can choose to be a good driver and not cellphone. And I can choose to be a good partner and not actively give my partner reasons to want a divorce.

The biggest culprit of ruin is that people are dumb and get complacent, and then when their ignorance wrecks them, they blame everyone else but themselves.

A good example is that even though women initiate most divorces, they’re often leaving legitimately terrible men.

Sometimes innocent people get wrecked, but statistically, those who get wrecked tend to be at fault. Which honestly means that if you’re not an idiot—the numbers are actually in your favor.

The solution isn’t red pill. The solution is not to be dumb.

My thoughts are nothing new, but what made me left was because it was too much of a cult to the point of you actually have a good counter argument to their logic, you’re called “blue pilled”. The lack of nuance and the mental jiu jitsu is real!

The figures of the space put a lot emphasis on “accountability” but not holding themselves accountable or holding each other to the same standard. Hell, they also defend them. How many people in this space become expose that they don’t practice what they preach?

It’s clear some of these figures are in this space to supplement their income. Not a lot of these channels have some sort of success until they talk about “the red pill”.

To follow up, it’s turned into a fucking gimmick. Any of them claimed to be “red pill aware” or “high value man/woman” or “I’m the prize”. I don’t care if you’re red pill, FDS, high value, or whatever. Just saying that unironically is hysterically pathetic.

Two reasons:

Realizing that Red Pill didn't align with (most of) my values. While I don't necessarily see myself getting married or having kids (not a hard no, but very unlikely at this stage). But all the things red pill says about what the ideal woman should be aren't the traits that I want in a woman. For example, they say women should be submissive, "feminine", willing to cook, clean and nothing more. I tend to find muscular women most attractive (even though I no I could never be with such a woman), I can cook for myself even though I don't do it as much as I should and I don't want some obedient robot wife.
Seeing contradictions in what they say about women and relationships. They say women only want the top 20% of men, yet almost everyone I see regardless looks are in relationships. I live in a poor rural area where almost no one is good looking, and they almost all have partners, usually ones who are equally unattractive, however. They say women are only attracted to men who are 6 feet tall, have six pack abs and make six figures. Only about 15% of men are six feet or taller. I'm one of them and I've never been in a relationship or had sex. Most men don't have six pack abs nor do they make six figure incomes, yet they have wives and girlfriends anyway. My mother has said many times that she thinks six pack abs look disgusting and I'm sure there are others out there who feel the same. I've seen many comments online (some on this very subreddit) from men who make six figures who still struggle with attracting women. Take Hollywood celebrities for example. Every other day there are stories of these celebrities -- people with maximum "sexual market value" -- who are still getting divorced, getting cheated on and so forth.

I dated a feminist and I found out that they weren't at all like the stereotype the Internet made them to be. Sure, there can be some people that take it too far and that are a bit misandric towards men and I actually disagree with some aspects of feminism as a whole, but meeting an actual feminist IRL showed me they are actually humans and that they're not on a quest to end men at all. I had a lot of interesting conversations with her and for the first time I gained the notion that it was the patriarchy that was harming us and not women, therefore we should fight against it instead of reinforcing it which is what red pill gurus actually do under the guise of "worrying about male issues".

Realizing the things I hated or felt about women were actually just things I hate and feel about humanity as a whole. Not unique to women.

Essentially, yes women are people just like you, but most people suck.
