Great article, thanks for sharing. The college I worked at essentially no longer hires white men into upper administrative positions.

Of course, getting rid of male administrators is only part of the feminization. Fewer males are going to college in large part due to the discriminatory practices we see in K-12. Biden is going to make already biased Title IX mandates even more biased. Most colleges have courses pushing feminist issues but of course not men’s issues. As the article mentioned, speech that questions the feminist or woke narrative will be prosecuted as hate speech. First year orientation often includes anti-male gender sensitivity trainings. The biases are enormous.

I made through UC Irvine and CalArts up to my MFA. I can assure you it is hostile to males. I wasn’t even allowed to talk about my history being abused.

[–]TheNerdWonder 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's a UC. Hugely corrupt.

[–]TheNerdWonder 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

Going through that right now. I took a Title IX training at my university and one of the modules on gender norms automatically started talking about toxic masculinity and how men are more likely to rape (no data supports this) someone than not. It was disgusting since the whole idea of it was prevent the reinforcement of gender "norms"... while it actually did that.

[–]63daddy 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yeah, we had a training called innocent bystander training. It was based on the premise most men are looking for the opportunity to sexually assault women and the few good men need to be willing to intervene.

Of course mist of the title ix cases I saw were of consensual sec where the woman later claimed the consent wasn’t valid, so nothing in the training actually applies to the majority of real life cases.

[–]TheNerdWonder 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yup, same here. Awful premise that is both bigoted and contradictory.

I don't doubt it. If it is not that, it's someone trying to get even since we know that women today are increasingly less mature and can't walk away from opportunities to be petty.

Thanks for sharing. Good summary of the stats.

It should be noted that the ever rising tuition fees are to a large degree caused by the growing administration.

[–]CanComplex8695 16 points17 points18 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

It is a total scam. Universities now exist for the sole purpose of profits for administrators, rather than educating students.

This is evidenced by the reality that most students leave university dumber than when they came in.

[–]Full-Bluebird385 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes. My university has 50% international students who pay exorbitant fees. Universities used to be scholarly institutions. Now they are for-profit corporations.

[–]shit-zen-giggles 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And the ones who got smarter would have done so without uni, since they're intrinsicly motivated.

[–]AvailableCandidate89 29 points30 points31 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

And they'll still bitch and whine for men to pay for it once their useless degree's do nothing to address the debt they've accumulated.

[–]PriestKingofMinos[S] 13 points14 points15 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The current student debt debate in the USA is essentially that already.

[–]AvailableCandidate89 10 points11 points12 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yup, and suddenly once women are suffering from it no one should pay for college, imagine that!

In Canada, the government makes sure that they get hired through the municipal, provincial and federal level. We don't have that many Gender Studies graduates serving coffee here with the exception of the simps who took the course and can't pay back the student loans.

[–]AvailableCandidate89 9 points10 points11 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

ah yes, sexists using sexism to make sure their sexist degree's pay more money for less work than the degree's of people who actually provide value to society

sounds like feminists to me!

[–]Early-Department-234 9 points10 points11 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Canada is truly a feminist country. They don't value MBAs and CPAs as much as they do regarding fields of public sector and feminist policy.
A Gender Studies graduate has a better job prospect in Canada, than an MBA or CPA.

You know the system is rotten when so many universities go this way. Logically there should be more that cater to merit based ideals for people that are sick of feminism and don't believe in it.

This disastrous result is only possible through white knighting though, if men were treated as equal in the first place it never gets to this point. White knighting is happening all over in all levels of power and wealth, and in both side of the political isle.

Some background information: Women Earned the Majority of Doctoral Degrees in 2020 for the 12th Straight Year and Outnumber Men in Grad School 148 to 100.

There isn't anything wrong with women getting degrees per se, but most of the real gains to society from women entering higher-ed have already been reaped. We're probably at the point of negative returns now. College degrees are now worth less, student deb has ballooned, marriages are being delayed, university budgets are bloated, and too many people are graduating into a world that won't or can't hire them.

Sounds like the precept of the decline of the Roman Empire. Bachelor taxes indicate that men were choosing to be single, or they were incels. Interesting historical parallels. Roman Empire and Babylonian Empire.

There are going to be unforseen bad ramifications of the feminizing of USA Universities.

Heather MacDonald has always been a standout author in these times. Her articles point out so much of the mess in academia and beyond, so thanks for sharing yet another one with this essay!

There is nothing fundamentally wrong with women and girls taking the reigns of society, but to do so to the exclusion of all other input and merit is like running headlong toward a precipice thinking you can fly, it's madness.
