All definitions of rape are inherently misandrist. Just like the female body, the male body can become aroused without its owner's consent. Just like females, males can be confused and unsure of what they want. And just as males, typically being physically larger, tend to use physical coercion, females play to their strength as well, using psychological manipulation and coercion.

Penetration is only a small part of the damage done by rape, and is hardly a part of all rapes. Rape is coercing someone into sex unwillingly, not penetrating an orifice. To add to that, there is tremendous pressure on males to be masculine, and while feminism claims this is due to patriarchy, it doesn't stop them from adding to the problem by wantonly shaming and insulting men, saying they need to grow up, they aren't man enough, etc. Browse SRS for 2 minutes for many more examples. I had some fembot sending me vile PMs last week calling me fat and shaming me for my allegedly small penis. It causes many males to believe it's what they want even if it isn't. This is clearly shown by interviews with men who, as boys, "had affairs" with a teacher (the news never calls this rape). Most regret it and feel used and manipulated, and some have even committed suicide.

Basically, men are human beings with feelings. Radical concept.

From what I understand from hearing people recount their stories, threats are often involved. Another common thing is that the men in that situation freeze because they become concerned about hurting the woman. And sometimes, of course, it is boys who are getting raped, and they are selected precisely because they aren't that strong yet.

Another thing to bear in mind is that rape doesn't necessarily require coercion or force, depending on jurisdiction. The key features are often absence of consent and the lack of a reasonable belief in consent.

Not all men are big and strong. Not all women are small and weak. It is possible for a female rapist to be bigger and stronger than her victim, and to use physical force to subdue him, but that is also not the only way a man (or boy) might be raped by a female rapist.

James Landrith's story is an example of a woman using an intoxicant and a threat to coerce a man to comply with her sexual demands.

Any method by which a person can contravene a woman's right or ability to refuse sex can also be used to contravene a man's right or ability to refuse.

In my case, I was borderline aware of the act due to lack of sleep and some mind-altering substances.

She was someone who kept coming around looking for some, and I kept telling her no, and that one night when I was at my weakest she figured she'd just take what she was "owed" and climbed on and helped herself. Didn't even put a condom on me.

For the longest time I didn't think of it in those terms though. It wasn't rape, it was "crappy sex I didn't want and barely remember".

You're trying to say that unless a man is held down, it's not rape. Had you said that about a woman, you'd already have the harpies down on you.

Force is a minor part of the issue, and besides, in any circumstance the one with a weapon has the capability of more force.

In my case, I was asleep when it started, and just didn't know what to do about it as it continued (sort of a shock response- you aren't really at your rational best when something like that happens). It took me a long time to even conceptualize it as rape.

The majority of female to male rape occurs between adult women and teenage (or younger) boys. There may not necessarily be a physical power imbalance between the two, but there is definitely a social and psychological power balance in favour of the woman.

One of the greatest travesties is that some boys have been threatened by the woman, that if they don't have sex, they will be accused of raping the woman.
