I think we have all seen the complaints from women (feminism not required) about feeling objectified when men check them out, how they consider that men leer at them, wolf-whistle as they walk past and all of that. This hasn't really struck a chord with me because I can't really recall seeing this sort of behaviour on anything approaching a regular basis. I'm sure it does happen, but it certainly does seem to be taking the extremist actions and applying them to men as a whole.
