For my English 102 research class, we have to spend 16 weeks on one topic. That topic has to be one of the Millennium Development Goals. Initially, I was psyched when I saw gender equality and women's empowerment as one of the topics. I asked my professor if I could dissect the topic and focus on gender equality, primarily men's rights. We all know what happened next, she said no. She said it would not fit the criteria. I am pretty bummed. Now, I am just focused on natural gas fracking. This fracking sucks!

EDIT: I put it in writing in order to attain a formal denial so it is not my word against hers. Now I can only hope she responds favorably or unfavorably.

I am interested on doing my paper on the Millennium Development Goal of Gender Equality. More specifically, I want to focus on men and boy's rights worldwide. I would like to know if I may proceed on beginning my research. If not I would like to know why this topic has been denied further exploration.
