'It was an unfortunate incident and misunderstanding,' her representative has told Entertainment Tonight.

How was it a misunderstanding? You hit him in the face. That's pretty simple. Even animals understand that form of communication.

'Ms Roberts was released after questioning and the couple are working together to move past it, the statement added.

Roberts was released hours after her arrest because Peters declined to press charges, according to TMZ's report.

Any legal experts care to weigh in here? I thought there were laws that said you couldn't decline to press charges in DV cases. Once it was in the system it had to be tried. I remember some feminist on youtube complaining about laws she had helped pass getting her husband (he tripped and cut her or something) caught up in the legal system for domestic violence even though she refused to press charges.

Looks like she was arrested. Is there something worthwhile about this in terms of mensRights or are we just citing individual cases that were handled properly? I see stupidity on his part for not pressing any charges and then getting back together with her.
