Yeah, that's a human thing - it happens.

Like I said, if it wasn't for fishing-for-downvotes having a cooler head than you and I, you would have probably ended up flamed a lot worse than you were after a while. You should know we have a history of people from SRS and the so called "fempire" coming in here to troll us.

They really hate the idea of "sharing" "victim status" with male victims. I put those in quotes, because it is disgusting to think of it like that.

Consider this infograph I made - like you, when I got redirected to this sub (must have been 4 months ago) I too thought it was pretty silly of an idea.

Then I read a little bit, and then I was shown the actual numbers.

Then I insisted on going to the sources myself, downloading the studies, and reading the numbers myself. It's pretty fucked up. You too said that you thought 'only women are oppressed' yet we take that as a fact and don't question it.

You always have to question it. Always. I recommend you question my infograph too - go to the CDC, download the study and look at it yourself - I'll help you if you need it.

There is a reason we are here - it isn't because we hate women, or because we want "privilege" (another thing you were probably convinced you have if you are white, straight, or a man, or god forbid a combination of those, or even all three).

Calling out rape victims like that is wrong. I'm not sure many would disagree, but there still needs to be proof. Also, while actual rape victims should suffer for it, there are quite a bit of women who fake things like pregnancies for money. And I disagree with the yes, instead of no part. Say two people are getting sexual with each other, they aren't going to stop and say "yes", they just keep going with the flow. But if you ever feel uncomfortable, its a lot more reasonable to at that point to just say "stop". But it actually doesn't matter, either should suffice. Also, there are women (and some men, i suppose, but mainly women) who get men arrested because they regret it or because the man does something later. So saying "yes" or "no" doesn't matter under that scenario.

And I think it's fine to bash people who are stopping equality from being achieved. They're making it harder for us to actually achieve equality.

OK. Well, let's take a look at this quote and see what we can ascertain from it. The first sentence;

It may be statutory rape, yes.

Here, the poster is acknowledging that a sex crime has been committed. He or she is asserting that among the possibilities are that the victim in question consented to sex, but was below the age of consent. This statement doesn't bash a rape victim or a statutory rape victim. It seeks to establish which crime, if any, was actually committed.

Our next line is;

It may be a troll post as well.

Here, the poster is questioning whether or not the post that he is responding to is genuine. In case you haven't heard, people lie on the internet. A lot. There is no bashing of rape victims here. Merely a question of the validity of a post on an anonymous internet forum.

Continuing;

It may also be a dumb underage girl about to ruin some poor boy's life.

Here, the poster is offering an additional hypothesis. It could be that this young lady consented to sex so that she can cause this man trouble. It could be that she consented to sex and then later regretted it and decided to cause this man trouble. The poster is not insisting that this is the case. He is hypothesizing. This is part of the cognitive process. One has a situation, and one asks questions about what could have lead to it. All possibilities are explored. If the poster is right, then there is no rape victim to bash here. If the poster is wrong, there is still no bashing going on. So. THat.

In all honesty though it probably is a troll post.

Here, the term to remember is "probably". When some asserts that something "probably" is something else, they are saying that there are other situations possible and worth considering, but this situation in particular is the one that seems most likely to them. It is the internet. People lie on the internet. There's no bashing of rape victims here. Merely a question of whether or not the post in question is truthful. It is the internet. People lie.

So. Either you know that there is no bashing of rape victims in this post and are being intentionally disingenuous or you don't know. Which would make you either ignorant, stupid, or both.

So. As I asked earlier. Can you link to specific entries in that thread that bash rape victims or excuse rapists?

I've never seen any one here bash a rape victim, but I dont read every thread, every comment so I can't say what one person may or may not have said

As for the anti-feminism lean there are 2 reasons I personally am anti feminist 1. The movement while good in its initial incarnation has lost its way. Instead of actually fighting for rights, women suffrage, equal opportunity in workplace and school its now pushing for supremacy. As a female you have more opportunity in higher education. And the wage gap myth has been largely disproven. Im on mobile so I don't have a link handy. Nowadays the rage is intersectional feminism. ie "check your privilege". Furthermore they are more concerned with "misogyny" in media than say how rape victims are treated in Saudi Arabia.

What is feminism doing in countries with actual problems? There are places in the world where women face actual problems. Feminism isn't doing anything to help them, instead they are claiming they are oppressed in the west where that is largely untrue. Keep in mind in the west you can vote, marry who you want, go to the university you want, study what you want. If you want to get divorced you can. You can sue who you want.

If you claim to be fighting for equality actually do it, dont go searching for entitlements or superiority.

That fact that you asked a question does not matter. You obviously have true bias, and that bias was met with disdain. You are no better than the men you say oppress you.

I don't get you people. at all.

A classic example. You start by alienating the people of this subreddit. The phrase itself has a very negative connotation. Instead of wanting to learn the truth about gender equality, you enter the discussion without a real want to learn. Imagine if a creationist wanted to an evolutionist to prove themselves. They would not ask for an explanation of evolution, but would rather ask them to explain why they don't believe what the creationists believe.

You know, so I can get it straight from the horses mouth instead of reading a simplified version of things that may or may not be true.

Again, you are questioning the validity of the subreddit. Instead of reading what the subreddit is about, you chose to ask its redditors. Ok, fine, good idea. However, when instead of really learning what the subreddit is about, you ask us to justify ourselves, to make ourselves valid in your eyes. This is cause for rebut. You do not wish to learn about r/MensRights. You only wish to try to convince us that we are invalid. That men are the oppressors. That men are treated above equal in not some cases, but every case.

So by asking a question in regards to not understanding the purpose of this subreddit, I'm a troll?

I could tell you the multiple ways women are being oppressed but I'm afraid it'll go right through one ear and out the other.

One of the worst things you could have possibly said. This subreddit, and reddit as a whole, is very centered around evidence. You claim to have evidence of real oppression, but do not show it to us. Not only that, you actively refuse to show us anything at all.

You are not only actively trying to invalidate this subreddit, but go so far as to say that if the sub was valid, the subscribers would have no right to be here, as they call out problems where women are favored over men. There are only a handful of current problems where if they were fixed, either men or women would not collectively suffer.

A very stereotypical thing for a feminist to say. Again, you try to invalidate this sub (a very reoccurring theme among your posts), then to use feminist information (only women are oppressed, men are living like kings) to try to prove your point. At some point in your transformation into a feminist, you stopped believing in gender equality. Men's problems don't matter. Only women's problems matter. Women are oppressed. Men are living in castles and women are treated as sex slaves. No. Fuck you. You come to r/MensRights, you ignore the very long list of inequalities, and when presented with one, choose to not only ignore it, but actively refuse it, as men are the oppressors according to you. You see the world as it was 50 years ago.

In conclusion, you third-wave radical feminist, you have no right being here. Had you wanted learn, welcome. Had you wanted to show a counter-point, welcome. Had you even just given us the privilege of validation, welcome. But no, you did not. You ignored us, refused us. Your post has not changed, and I already said why I dislike it. Actually, I have given multiple quotes of yours from this post. I obviously read them. Labeling you? You are a feminist, obviously. Had you been an equal rights activist, you would have immediately seen the point of r/MensRights. I call you third-wave because you do not show any evidence of women's oppression. While it obviously exists, both in first and third world countries, you do not have enough experience, expertise, or knowledge to back up your claims. You are a radical because you dismiss men's problems and only want to further that of women's. Thank you for apologizing, but it is too late. One comment among a sea of your other posts (blatantly disregarding men's rights) is not enough. If you change your post description to "please explain this to me" that would be it. I would be happy. But no, instead fixing your wrongs, which would take a total of 7 seconds, you choose to fight me. Now, I don't hate feminists. I know a lot and I like a lot. However, when a feminist tries to invalidate the problems men face regarding inequality, that is when I view feminists in a bad light. You are not changing my views. You are doing the opposite - enforcing them. You disregard real gender equality.
