Well you don't have to go anywhere but /r/SuicideWatch or /r/Depression sound like a better bet than /r/MensRights. You can talk to people even worse off than you are -- or if not, you can be that person to someone else.

Men die of practically everything at higher rates than women do. Suicide isn't any sort of exceptional case.

I would say that keeping the MRM at arm's length while suicidal would be a beneficial thing cause depending how you take it, it may make it worse for you.

This sub will truly get on your nerves at times and its suggested to walk away from time to time to make sure you don't go crazy

Some of the issues the MRM deals with can be very unsettling, even though they remain also very important. I can understand the positive side of the first part of the message - try to involve yourself in activities that foster positive emotions, rather negative ones if you are depressed.

I believe the majority of /r/MensRights are more interested in each other's well-being than vote tallies though the very nature of the second part of the message is a good example of the negativity that can stem from being embroiled in the MRM. We face implacable foes lacking in mercy or decency. it is wearing on all of us in different ways.

I tell myself that if I consider killing myself, that I am considering killing the wrong person. Since I have no wish to do gaol time, I move my thoughts towards what I want to enjoy in this short life.

Please seek help, be it a trustworthy friend, professional help or a help line. Too many men decide the world can get along without them and I believe they are mistaken.

A lot of depression or suicide forums will make everyone on them feel a lot worse. It is important to focus on discrete empirical data when you are depressed, and it is important to focus on the bad things other people do to you, not just blame yourself for falling victim to them.

But yes this forum is getting pretty stupid.
