On International Men's Day (November 19th) men are often congratulated for supporting women. Today, on International Women's Day, I would like to congratulate all of the women who support equality for men.

Men have been oppressed for thousands of years, not by "other men" but by the system which is controlled by capital and in which some men and some women were complicit beneficiaries. Today, on International Women's Day, I would like to thank all of the women who have supported, and who continue to support, men in our ages-old struggle for equality. We value your support tremendously, thank you for everything that you do!

Why make international women’s day about us? We all complain when single mothers hijack Father’s Day, so why do that here? We should put more emphasis on international men’s day rather than trying to “steal” attention from others.

I think it's better to thank the women like Erin Pizzey, Karen Straughan and their like who are fighting for equality, without mentioning the fact that they support men.

People might look into who they are, and accidentally learn something.
