Nobody gives a fuck what someone identifies as. You are either for equal rights for all, or you're not. It doesn't matter what sex or orientation you are/have/ don't have.

The only Trans Man I personally know became more of a radical feminist after he transitioned. I have a hard time understanding why someone who CHOOSES to be Male supports an ideolgy that is inherently anti-male, so we don't really talk much any more.

They are more than welcome into the conversation. In my experience, you'd be hard pressed to find someone that thinks otherwise.

Anyone advocating against societal scapegoating and legislating against men is part of it ... someone else could probably answer better than I.

The thing is, trans people are like less than 1% of the population. I am all in favor of trans rights, because human rights are for everybody, but it's bizarre how much attention trans issues are getting when they impact so few people. Both the left and the right see this as a useful wedge issue, not a brutally challenging medical issue. It should be depoliticized. Listen to the scientific community, listen to the medical community. Tune out the people just playing cynical politics.

They are trying to use this like they both did the gay rights issue, but there are a shit ton more gay voters out there than trans voters. And so, a lot more people with a gay family member or friend to humanize the issue. It's not a good wedge issue for either party.

I don't know much about it either, I will say this though, trans men are pretty much cast out by feminists and I remember awhile back it being a big issue for them so there's that to consider. Trans men aren't protected in the way that trans women are because in the heads of feminists of course they've 'chosen' to become men therefore they're misogynists etc. etc. and all that usual bullshit.
