Came in with the tired, usual "I'm not like other girls, gosh, those feminists are so bitchy aren't they I'm not like that. I appreciate the things men do for me. Oh, and you all have toxic masculinity and need to work on not being rapists."

When called on her shit, she doubled down, and even then couldn't get away from her "men are useful" nonsense: "I appreciate the things my coaches have done for me" not "men have inherent worth".

Even when they TRY to be objective, they can't get away from their inborn programming that men are objects to serve them or discard when their utility is done.

NEVER forget - when a woman makes a public statement where she's saying nice things about men - SHE WANTS SOMETHING.

Men weren't "allowing it to be discussed", they were actively working to change things. The President of the National Organization of Women was a MAN. Not because SEXISM but because he was tirelessly working for women's rights. So were a lot of other men.

You're doing the equivalent of Black Lives Matter erasing the contributions of white activists alongside Martin Luther King, including people like Andy Rooney and Bernie Sanders, who were beaten and arrested trying to redress the wrongs.

And in those four years, the thanks we get is while women get more and more and more privilege and power and the benevolent sexism power - men are falling further and further behind, and women just to "HA! We're better, you SUCK, and that's WHAT YOU GET for my great-great-great grandmother not being able to vote."

A female TV star who's looking for cheap ratings can fuck off. A woman who is mincing along trying to say the right words.... is selling something.

For sure! Here's a comment from u/girlwriteswhat AKA Karen Straughan that provides a good overview of this.

The system DID used to be heavily tilted toward men, and of course some men ruthlessly took advantage of it.

BUT, when men had the system tilted toward them in terms of rights and authority, they wrote into that system a plethora of protections, entitlements and exemptions for women, accommodations that were owed to them under the law both by individual men and by the system.

The first legal domestic violence provisions existed to protect women from abusive husbands, not the other way around.

When a woman married, she had to hand over her property to her husband's care (as he was administrator of the family), but he OWED her not just a living, but the best living he was financially capable of providing for her, or he could be charged with the crime of abandonment.

Even when the "patriarchal" system legally presumed paternal custody of children, there were so many exemptions and considerations provided under the law that in many jurisdictions more divorced mothers received custody than divorced fathers.

When women lost custody of their children, they owed nothing financially to the kids or their ex husband. When men lost custody, they were held fully financially responsible under the law for the ex wife and kids.

Women had limited property rights in marriage, but they had the Law of Agency, giving them the legal right to purchase goods on their husbands' credit. If a man's wife was frivolously racking up debt by overspending, it was not enough that he post a disavowal on a public bulletin board or in a newspaper, notifying merchants to stop selling goods to his wife--he would actually have to go to each and every one of those merchants and notify them in person.

Women have a long history of seeking redress in ecclesiastical courts and courts of equity regarding a husband's mismanagement of "my portion" (the property they brought into the marriage) and were frequently granted relief.

Women were exempt from paying taxes, and there was an entire female underground economy of barter and trade that was not subject to taxation or government interference. Even when married women gained the right to hold property within marriage, it was their husbands who were responsible for the taxes owing on it, and it was their husbands who were held 100% financially liable for providing all necessaries to the family, including the wife, even if she made more money than he did.

Women were protected from prosecution for any number of crimes if they could prove their husbands were aware of said crimes. In which case, he would be prosecuted in her stead--not just held AS responsible as she was, but held solely responsible for her actions.

Women were exempt from the military draft (even mandatory war work, like sewing uniforms).

Women were exempt from civil conscription, like bucket brigades, the special constabulary and "hue and cry" laws (which are like the "good samaritan law in that last episode of Seinfeld).

Single women had all the same rights to property and financial self determination single men had, but they enjoyed "children's privilege" (the legal obligation of parents or other family to provide them full financial support when possible), and bore no obligation to the state other than the taxes owing on their income and property as unmarried individuals.

Women were not barred from any of the trade guilds in Britain at least as far back as the 1400s. There were 2 master sistren listed among the brethren on the roster of the London Blacksmith's Guild in 1432. Orphaned girls with few prospects for marriage were the most likely to choose the traditional route to mastery of a trade, because that route was long, onerous, arduous and often dangerous--indentured as a child, basically a slave for years while apprenticing, then years of travel on dangerous roads as a journeyman, then finally, when you're in your mid-twenties, you can claim mastery and set up shop.

Unmarried women dominated the trades of weaving and beer brewing, leading to the still common female-suffixed surnames Webster and Brewster. Women were tinsmiths, silversmiths, goldsmiths, etc.

But more than this, women had the privilege of circumventing the long, onerous, arduous process of trade certification. If a woman married a butcher or a cooper or a cobbler, she was assumed to have learned the ins and outs of the trade from him, and if he died she could inherit his master status and carry on the family business in her own name with that master status, allowing her to take on apprentices and hire journeymen.

These were all accommodations granted women under the law back when men had all the "power".

1972 – Title IX of the Education Amendments prohibits sex discrimination in all aspects of education programs that receive federal support.

The Supreme Court upholds the right to use birth control by unmarried couples.

Juanita Kreps becomes the first woman director of the New York Stock Exchange.

1973 – Landmark Supreme Court ruling Roe v. Wade makes abortion legal. The Supreme Court in a separate ruling bans sex-segregated "help wanted" advertising.

1974 – Housing discrimination on the basis of sex and credit discrimination against women are outlawed by Congress.

The Supreme Court rules it is illegal to force pregnant women to take maternity leave on the assumption they are incapable of working in their physical condition.

1975 – The Supreme Court denies states the right to exclude women from juries.

1978 – The Pregnancy Discrimination Act bans employment discrimination against pregnant women.

For fucks sake dude. Try to pretend at least you are objective.
