How are these people allowed to show his picture? Isn't it illegal because of privacy reasons in Ireland too? He is not guilty.

This decision has been deemed unsatisfactory by feminists who insist they believe the victim inspite of none of them knowing who she is due to anonymity laws and none of the evidence used to clear the men being made availiable to the public.

Hey man, you have to believe the victim, otherwise you will be re-victimizing her, or something.

The problem is that these men have no recourse, they can't sue the government and they can't sue the woman, everyone involved is protected and all the evidence is in the hands of the state.

How can you be so sure it was rape without out actually knowing all the information? If all the court information isn't public, then who's to say that the jury was wrong? It's also appalling that the alleged victim remains anonymous even after all four men were found completely innocent with all charges dropped. These guys have had their names drug through the mud for weeks and someone who thinks you can retroactively withdraw consent and attempted to put them in jail, gets off scott free.

The people protesting do not even know the woman so how can they believe her.

The Jury heard all the evidence.

Do the people protesting really want to go down the trial by media path.

I suspect that the UK is very close to introducing anonymity for the accused.

The name of the woman who made the claim is widely available on social media and is locally known of course.

In the age of the internet her anonymity cannot be maintained if the accused is not also granted anonymity.

There is now so much media around the trial it is not possible for juries to give an unbiased verdict.

The government will have to grant anonymity to the accused.

In Canada, under Bill C-51, the defense is now required to submit their evidence before the trial. They will also have to share which questions they will ask during the trial.
