This female teacher pretended to be a 14 year old girl to accuse a male teacher of sexually abusing her. No jail time for this calculated attempt to destroy a man's life.

Most female homicide victims are killed in the home... (BBC quietly mentions later that 80% of murder victims are men).

BBC Newsnight just described falling sperm counts as "another blow for western patriarchy", and did so with a smirk. What the hell is happening?

Men are the ruling sex in politics? Not in the UK; Prime Minister and Queen are both women, neither were voted in. There's a Minister for Women and Equality (a woman) and no minister for men. There's a Parliamentary Committee for Women and Equalities (chaired by a woman) and no committee for men.

You've got to laugh when the woman saying this appears to be wearing lipstick, modified eyelashes, eyeliner, foundation, blusher and hairspray. Maybe such misrepresentation is a crime against men. I think I'm going to go away and cry into my beer.

Best marriage advice ever given. "Never marry a woman you haven't seen without make-up".

Short, bald and facially ugly men have it so much worse than women, yet everybody just tells them to shut up and own it. Meanwhile women, who virtually never have any problems of being too ugly to find love/sex, can cry about beauty standards 24/7.

If only those short, bald, facially ugly men were short, bald, facially ugly women then their grass would be so much the greener!

Wait... bald women? Yeah, it turns out that 1 out of 16 women experience baldness before 50, but for some reason unclear to anyone, we never see them that way.

Well I know a woman changes her own oil, so there.

1 in 16 ain’t cherries bub.

Not sure what that means, but I'll take your word for it pal.

Most women airbrush themselves with fakeup on a daily basis.

It starts off well, but she misses the mark at the end.

I think it's a disgusting tool that has been weaponised, predominantly against women, and is responsible for so many more problems than we realise because we are blinded by the media, our culture and our society.

The problem here, is that women are the ones who perpetuate its use.

It's a lie to the consumer

She's not wrong about any of the things she says about this. It should technically be false advertising.

It's bad for the person being photographed

The things listed here are also true.

It's so, so bad for the public, especially young women

She goes off the rails here. If she were to remove gender from it, she wouldn't be wrong. But as it is, she's making huge leaps in logic, and attributing things to men, that are simply not true.

Don't give your money to any institution that sells you the lie of 'perfection'. They are trying to break you, so you will hate yourself and go out and buy something you don't need, in order to fix something that was never broken in the first place.

This statement is pretty spot on though. Unless you're obese, then you should fix that ASAP.

Apologies for the nitpicking, but it depends on what you're talking about. If you're referring to those shampoo adverts where they just photoshop in nice looking hair that never even touched the shampoo they're using, then I agree. But if you're just talking about using a model to show off clothes, the product you're advertising is the clothes, not the model, therefore, I don't believe it qualifies under false advertising.

[–]Daemonicus 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Clothes are a different thing, and would be misleading, not exactly false advertising. It's shitty either way.

More rich white lady problems.

My god, do we need to set-up a field hospital? Sound the call for blood donors? I only hope we don't need to start a triage system to separate the living from the near-dead.

[–]Blutarg 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Wow, women face such torment, don't they? Here we men are, talking about minor concerns like suicide, dying at work, and shorter life expectancy, but real problems like airbrushing never even get mentioned.

[–]LastgenKeemstar 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Airbrushing is literally just digital makeup. What's the issue?

The BBC is once again scrapping from the bottom of the intellectual barrell.

Does Britian not have freedom of speech/expression laws or something.
