A couple of women on this subreddit have, based on pure dementia I can only assume, argued hypothetically that if they get pregnant from another man while in a relationship with me (so to speak) , me raising the bastard child is the same as me producing a son with that woman.

From her perspective yes, and she's still raising her own kid.

I do not agree with that logic. I believe every man has a right to know whether or not the child he is caring for is his son, or a bastard. BUT, I realize now that even certain other men consider this distinction valueless.

Some few men may say that, but I question whether they would put their money where their mouths are, so to speak and raise such a child as their own. And anyway, if she's just using the guy for money, she can divorce and still get the money, it does not seem like a stable relationship position to be in.

I strongly believe it is every man's right to desire/confirm that biological continuity with his son is true.

Rights are a matter of local law, in France for example, it's illegal for a man do have a DNA test done to confirm paternity, really, I think he faces 5 years in prison and if I remember correctly a 15,000 Euro fine. Here in the US there is no law prohibiting you from getting the test done, but if you are married to her it makes no difference in the eyes of the law. So knowledge in this case does not empower you at all.

If you were with a woman , or married with her, and she got pregnant... 3 years into the child's life you discover that she is a filthy slut that cheated on you and does not know who the father is but it definitely isn't you, would you stay or would you leave?

You're screwed either way, but if divorced and you lose your job and can't pay the CS, you'll end up in prison. So I'd weigh the options carefully.

Second question, do you believe women are able to understand the importance of biological continuity for men in terms of offspring? if not , why not?

They always know which kids are theirs, and that's all they care about, but women in general don't really care about men's feelings, life, or future in this regard. And you can't tell what a woman will do in the future from what she says today, so whatever you do you take your chances,

Yes. Raising another man's children is self-disqualification from the genetic pool. Any man who subjects themselves to this deserves to have their genetic lineage end there.

No, women tend to have zero care about men or paternal rights and will/have born children to practically any man that just gets the job done FOR THEM. They are in it for themselves, man be damned, and this is the growing fatherlessness problem we are faced with.

Yes, it matters. It's a self-evident truth. The knowledge that a particular child is ours is deeply important to men.

The child is still hers in either case. Few women want to adopt a child that has already been born in a third world country because the child is not hers. She thinks it's find because it her child in either case--it's continuity in her case. Her decision is in her favour. By arguing you should accept it, she is just arguing in her own biased favour. Don't accept it as valid. She understands continuity but only cares about her own continuity. If the child is not mine, I would leave immediately. In some jurisdictions if you stay you would be required to pay child support.

What I believe doesn't much matter. What matters is that the parent has the right to make that choice themselves based on their values or beliefs. Some people chose to adopt, some can't imagine doing that. What matters is that they have the right to make that enormous life decision as they see fit.

THe term you are looking for is "Negative Externalities". cuckolding encourages people like PUA to adopt a low investment breeding pattern, where they can get 15, 20, 40 women pregnant, confident that other men will pay to raise the child. I actually knew guys in college who had kids with 12 different women, and would joke about how if they had to pay for all their own babies, they would be poor as dirt.

It is sort of biologically instilled in (what I believe) the average man to have sex with women on an unconscious attraction to signs of fertility, in an effort to also produce offspring of his own. If she sleeps with another man whilst in a relationship with you and you want a kid of your own, that’s highly unethical of her to do, especially considering how this only can happen to men. It’s fine if there are men who don’t care, but I don’t blame the men who leave cheaters.

There are absolutely women who would feel empathy for men in this situation, but since women don’t have to ever go through that, I wouldn’t be surprised if there are a lot who would not understand.
