Men’s rights groups should take note of this. Mothers care about their sons. This can be used to fight anti-male discrimination impacting boys. I think this could be much better used to address the discrimination against boys in education for example.

As the article indicates, those who promote discrimination against en all of a sudden find themselves criticized by mothers, it puts them in a very tough situation.

This is what a mother should be doing. If only my own mother knew this

I think that’s exactly the issue: most mothers don’t know. I’ve often argued that if mothers understood the discrimination their sons face in education, it wouldn’t be a men’s rights issue, it would be a parenting issue.

In fairness if my mother knew about some of the bullshit I faced in education she'd have probably laughed and bought the person a drink. She was a real piece of work

Generally, the time women become interested in men's issues is when they have a son; now they have skin in the game.

Its... unfortunate, what that says.

New coercive control law in Australia and UK will only affect men because women are protected by Duluth model.

Yet what was totally inspiring was the reaction of people receiving the flyers. There was a proportion who just weren’t interested but also a solid core of men and women who eagerly took the MOS flyers and then, did the stories pour out. It was astonishing how many people had friends or relatives who’d faced false violence allegations, how often folk fervently confirmed women are just as likely as men to use coercive control. Some became quite emotional, thanking the MOS mums for what they were doing.

The lesson is, there’s a receptive audience in our communities, eager to hear the truth about this vicious anti-male weaponry creeping into Australia’s criminal laws. It’s up to us all to make sure they hear it.

They are doing great work. And she is right, there is an audience out there, they are just not validated in their concerns by the wider society, government, and mainstream media. The more people fight back against the lies, the harder it is for the ones perpetuating it to continue to lie because fewer people will listen to them.

So... campaigning for a political cause in front of a voting location is ok in Australia? As an American, I was waiting for the voting judges to come down HARD on these people.

That's because they're for a cause, not a party. I can say "Vote for the environment", but I can't say "Vote for the Greens Party"
