Dates have also felt like an interrogation to me. Went out with a girl who we clicked with great on the first date, but on the 2nd date she was tired due to work and afterwards said she didn't "feel the connection." These things take time...but it's almost as if they expect the bond to happen right away.

The west has been busy demonizing men for decades. Discrimination against men is systemic and has been for a long time. You should have no loyalty to your forebears or to your country. You, as male disposable human sacrifices, should not fight wars for your country. oh i watched this before on YT ... and its a load of garbage playing the "men have got to up their game and earn more money" which would only encourage men not to date even more ( for fear of losing their assets.

why would you ask a professor marketing? oh thats right, he's going to tell you what you want to hear ..the blame game. CNN isn't exactly a credible news source

Fox News has been having this same discussion, both in a recent article and on Gutfeld. And they as usual with neo-cons put all the blame on men, it's all our fault, we'd rather jerk off than be with real women, etc. It's just so frustrating. Men have no mainstream voices advocating for us. Personally I've tried finding dates, both IRL in high school, by joining clubs through my 20s, and on apps. And I've had no luck. Neither side discusses the role women play in this.

I've stopped looking for dates because im tired of the mentally exhausting process of the numbers game with a tiny or nonexistent return on investment. I've been stung or ghosted more times than I can count, and thats IF I even find someone who is interested in a date.

The problem is society has no idea how to operate now today. Marriage is no longer desirable, especially for men. Many men see it more as a trap.

Before a 100 years go, and then going back to prehistoric times, humans had a set standard of how things worked. We developed a way to efficiently procreate, raise those children in healthy environments, and progress civilization forward. We all had certain roles in society to make that happen. There were variations, but for the most part, this transcends across cultures and races and nationalities all across the world.

Today, we don't even raise our own kids anymore. Many couples now put their kids in daycare, paying absolutely outrageous prices to do so. It's become an industry itself. And daycare businesses today are filling up. Many have waiting lists years long. Is it good to have so many children in our society being raised by businesses who only care about profit, and by strangers, instead of parents? What's that going to do for our future? What type of children are we now raising?

Am I saying we need to go back to the way things were in 1800? No. Of course not. But we got to figure something out. Society isn't working today. It's breaking down. No one is happy. Marriage rates are falling. Birth rates are falling. Divorce rates are still high. The dating and hook-up culture is extremely toxic to the point of suicidal for some. These are not good markers to have. We are heading for some very serious social and economic problems. A declining population is not good, especially since many of our entitlement programs like social security and medicare are completely reliant on a large and successful youth population.

I dont have much hope. No one even wants to talk about this. When they do, they blame the wrong things. The political left and the feminists wants to blame men for it all. The political right wants to blame it all on porn. So we are not anywhere close to being able to even think about fixing the real problems.
