This attitude is pervasive of among black women, but also women of other races as well. It’s truly damaging to black guys who are socialized and mainstream. It’s the constant misunderstanding of the context of violence that a majority of women have. So many think : Violence = Masculinity, regardless of the context. This is how they end up in abusive relationships, this is how they learn to see normal guys as pussies. They see the loudmouth, angry guy with priors who gets into fights when someone accidentally steps on his shoe as the truest representation of masculinity, not knowing that violence is utterly unjustified in such a context and that the guy will inevitably turn on them.
