Oh my gosh thank you for reminding me of this! This sort of piercing sweetness is why the search for love continues despite the dangers... I can see my husband or myself feeling like this after the other one dies, but I hate to imagine that loneliness for either of us.

Edit: And you can see in all their pictures what a kind and happy man he was and how happy she was, in her eyes as well as smile, the whole time.
