The horrible thing is that our taxes will be paying for many single women to be warehoused in memory care/assisted living in the next 10-20 years; they will not have any meaningful retirement fund setup and they're going to have to work into their 70's or be homeless.

Again, men are going be forced to support them indirectly through tax increases and the raising of men's retirement age. Also, I can see older women getting housing subsidies.

I have a relative that filed for divorce last year at the age of 52, has 2 kids - one is still at home, has absolutely no retirement, living paycheck to paycheck, only barely surviving because another relative gave her money; she's planning on selling her house to fund retirement but I'm not sure where the other $500k she's going to need for retirement is going to come from.

Right now, due to the divorce settlement, she's most likely going to need to either sell the house & split the profits with her ex or take out another mortgage to pay the ex's share.

For guys looking at women in their 40's/50's, don't, all you are is a retirement fund source.
