Having a baby does not have any down side for the woman. A man, the government, the state will provide some money to support her. The lesson to learn here is to protect your assets. When you own a business you keep your business separate from your personal finances in case of a lawsuit. personally, I'd recommend having major assets controlled by a third party so these items are off the table.
