I'm going to preface this by saying what I think is the most important aspect of this issue, and one that I don't believe is talked about at all. Anti-abortion laws are capitalist in nature, it's viewing a child as a product of capitalism to help feed our capitalistic nature. Raising a child consumes resources, parents who are young will have a hard time advancing past minimum wage jobs keeping them stuck in financial servitude to the corporations who profit from it.
Now with that out of the way, lets discuss all the reasons abortion becoming illegal will in fact, affect men nearly as much as women.
If a woman becomes pregnant this isn't a story from a holy book, we know a father exists and that person is going to be responsible for that child. Teenargers still in highschool who are forced to carry a child to term will have 2 parents, both will be court ordered at this point.
Where this will affect men differently is the lack of resources available to men in this position. A teenager wishing to attend college if he is male does not quality for some grants that single mothers qualify for. He may be required to pay child support, meaning he will need to find employment as well as try to attend college (if he even goes). Child care does not exist in anyway to allow him to skip work to attend school. His responsibility to financially care for this child goes above his future educational or job prospects.
This means a man who is forced into parenthood is now faced with limited education, poor job choices and 18 years of uncertainty that his life will ever be able to move forward in a meaningful way. The only way this can be bypassed, the only way he has the chance to go to college and make something of himself is if his parents can afford to take on the responsibility of child support.
Most abortions (almost 70%) are carried out by women between the ages of 15-30 and in fact almost 60% of them are done between the ages of 20-29. That means most of the abortions are happening during the years that men and women are in college or starting careers soon after.
Its in those times that the financial hardship of raising children limits the financial security of those involved the most. Just as a woman will be stuck in a low paying job due to having to care for a child. Yet to a man will be limited by his ability to move up a corporate ladder or further education by the same limitations.
This is a mens issue not because of the "ally" or "we have sisters and girls this will affect" but because men are still held responsible for the children they conceive. We already have a issue with fewer men getting a college education, with declining wages and perpetual poverty and homelessness men suffer from. The burden of an unwanted pregnancy will only deepen the trench many men today have been falling into over the last few decades.
Womens access to birth control and abortions have helped men just as it has helped women. It has allowed both to control their own future, by taking this away it only limits that control and both will suffer from it.
