Why should the existence of a penis prevent someone from being friends with them?

If a straight person wants to have sex with a trans person, they should be allowed to without a social stigma.

If a "straight" guy wants to have sex with a trans person, there is no stigma. But that's not even what we are talking about here.

They don't want to be able to point to a person and go "I AM ENTITLED TO HAVE SEX WITH THAT PERSON"

Except that what trans activists want to do, they want to force straight men and lesbians to have sex with them. You don't seem to ever pick up on the word activist at all.

Well if they did, it would mean that 4chan had been successful. Their goal in producing that image was 'accelerationism' which is or was thought of as strictly an economic concept, accelerating the end of capitalism.

Accelerationism has been really taken to heart in the culture war so, what I think most moderately minded persons wanted was to suppress that image, and then (now) to make sure everyone is aware that it was created for the purpose of causing elevated tensions, and NOT for the purpose of actually shaming heterosexual men into dating trans women.

that said - you make an excellent point. If it were to inspire sentiment towards that shaming, the sentiment against it would be justified. Kind of, willed into being.

But that was the intent, so at this point I have to hope that some people in some other sub are reasoning along these same lines, having a similar conversation to this one, and since the left hates 4chan at least as much as the right, will decide that there is no reason to actually change what had been 'party line' over there - which as far as I know was 'who trans people date is none of our concern, just please don't kill them'.

SO, if we keep level heads, and they keep level heads - the acceleration will fail.

It's not my experience that they do. Seems to me you're just basing your arguments on prejudices. If I'm a white man and I have preferences (being - I only want to be sexual with a biological woman) I'm a horrible human being. Is that it? In any case you're completely off the mark with me. I find women with dark/brown/golden skin to be quite attractive.

The point isn't if I could tell. Even a chinese Rolex watch can seem like a real Rolex until you open it up and find out how it was made. In the same way - I would approach a person in your scenario under the assumption that I was dealing with a woman and would immediately lose interest if I found out she used to be a he. Especially since it'll mean there's a penis lurking under the clothes. I would have no problem hanging out with Laverne. I'm sure (s)he's a cool person, but I sure as hell wouldn't be involved sexually.

I don't get what your point is. You want me, and other straight men, to date men who are dress up and call themselves women? That's not gonna happen no matter how much you argue.

That 'propaganda' looks to have come from a Trans Rights organization if you see the icon in the lower left, so if you have an issue with their veracity, again I say "do you have a better source?".

While I will readily agree with you that the numbers could change with new evidence, we have to go with what information that's available. Even if I did believe it, what number/data would I pick? Do I just make it up?

I'm not sure what you are trying to say here. Are you trying to say that 2% of men equals 1% of the population? True. That also means that if 0.6% of the population is trans, then statistically only 0.3% of trans people are transwomen. I did not break it down by transwomen/transmen. You are welcome to do so. However, even if they were all trans women 1% is still greater than 0.6% and their cup, as they say, still runneth over.

I would be one of the 98%, most likely. Especially if they just said "would you sleep with a trans woman?" If they showed me a pic of someone who looked like Anna Torv and said she had all the right equipment in all the right places, I might agree to meet her and see if we are compatible. But I'm an older guy and I am not looking to have any more children. And not being able to have children probably disqualifies transwomen for a lot of guys, at least for a serious relationship. Not to mention this is a person that was born with a pretty serious (genetic? mental?) condition that they went through rather drastic surgery to fix, and will be taking pills for the rest of their lives to keep it that way. I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in preferring a healthy partner. Before you say "but trans people aren't sick/unhealthy/what have you", remember it's a perception, not the actual condition, whatever that may be.

Bottom line: people get to choose their partners, regardless of what other people think. I'm sure as time goes on people will become more accustomed to transpeople and the situation will improve.

The left as we know it are so extreme that they are constantly driving away any genuine moderates out there to the point they even search out subs like this to have a conversation because they can't do it anywhere else without being banned.

You also don't know what brigading is this is trolling and 4chan do it on a global scale if people on the left are dumb enough to take the bait and not only post this stuff up but agree with it and defend it that's their problem.

Meanwhile there have been troll and actual brigade attempts on this sub and because we're all actually capable of discourse and critical thinking we search for sources in order to find out whether it's true or not. Yes, we should look to gain allies from every walk of life, that doesn't mean we should constantly compromise our beliefs in order to appease an insane bunch of radicals that now control mainstream left wing politics.

if you are a moderate, compromise is your belief, accommodation is your goal you want people to be able to coexist peacefully.

if your are really right wing you should defend the individuals Freedoms & Rights; the right to free speech, the freedom OF expression and freedom FROM persecution, the separation of Church and State these are foundations of the Republic and the republican party.

its not the left that has been infiltrated and radicalised in the last 70 years its the Republicans. first by Randian rugged individualism, then by fundamentalist Christians, then by The Tea Party and other special interest groups. from across the pond its worrying to see how the party of small state low taxes and getting the govenment out of the individual way has been eviscerated and now a populist theocracy wears Republicanism as a ghoulish mask for state sponsored racism and cheerleads the destruction of the planet; The Party of Lincoln, Roosevelt and Eisenhower completely fucking inept on Racism, The Environment and Military Industrial complex is just sad to see.

Republican, Democrat, A Conservative and Unionist, A liberal democrat, the British labour and co operative party, Greens. A socialist then a Communist.

a Nationalist can be from any parties which is how you get National Socialist or Scottish Nationalist.

A libertarian would be comfortable in any of right leaning parties if they advocate for less state involvement.

an Anarchist wouldn't be involved in party politics at all and most anarchists wouldn't work with a communist which they call TANKIES.

the Third question was easy you just have to put co operative party into google.

and as for remain or brexit its a non party issue it cuts across the spectrum because there are pros and cons depending on who you ask.

the way you lump together anti capitalist Marxist, Socialist, Communist and Anarchist tells me that you don't understand politics and its not your fault because its not taught in any sort of depth but seriously think about getting educated in different schools of political thought.

I'd also advocate for learning about the history of suffrage in England and America notable the work of Thomas Paine and its impact on the Founding Fathers, Adam Smith and The Theory of Moral Sentiments; The Chartists in South wales and Engels specifically 'The Condition of the Working Class in England' its that study that informed the communist manifesto after seeing the hardship of mainly immigrant Irishand polish labour in Manchester mills, and then you can read about the Peterloo massacre and the Rochdale Society of Equitable Pioneers

No, you don't understand politics, I've actually seen how these groups all operate, you're just going by standard definitions and assuming that's accurate for the groups currently in existence. I've seen Antifa for myself at political protests so be careful how much you assume to know about me.

Yes, authoritarian Anarchists are a major contradiction and the left itself is a completely contradictory movement. On the one hand they're anti-capitalist yet they're almost exclusively made up or of middle/upper class university students and adults. On the other they have Anarchists amongst their number who think that they're against the government and aren't authoritarian in the slightest but they're out on the street acting like complete thugs and they want bullshit like socialised medicine or they want communes they don't really have any clue about what their beliefs are supposed to be.

Which brings me to you, I was willing to give you a shot, but I am not impressed, like most garden variety lefties you're working off dictionary definitions and assuming that is reality rather than working with what's in front of you and what you can actually see. The fact is all the groups I have mentioned are working together, you can see it at protests, you can see it in political parties and you can even see it in the subreddits here on this very site which don't get quarantined the way the other 'right wing' subreddits do despite the fact that they openly celebrate violence.

I've studied these groups for 4 years, feminism especially because I knew it would be necessary for me to understand them properly if I'm to survive in the games industry as an indie developer. It's you who doesn't know anything about politics

if you have been studying this for years why were you not able to list them yourself and then critic each them.

why do you think that people are feeling passionate enough to take to streets and work with people they don't like to accomplish their goals.

I'm an active member of political party I campaign regularly and go door to door canvassing I can only speak about the UK but on the whole I see older people angry and scared at world thats changing and leaving them behind, I meet younger people that are afraid that they are being excluded from a conversation about their future and at least in the UK most people are just exhasted with everything because as far as they can see everything is just a little bit shitter every day. I talk to councillors and MPs that feel that its hard to build consensus around any radical proposal in either direction and so were just left parazlysed with everyone mad that everyone else isn't listening to them. when I was younger I went to rallies and on the whole I've never found them to be particular effective at delivering change

I sub to a lot of different Subs and your right a lot of subs have a culture which glorifies or casualify violence in general and the left has issues with it as much as the right but I'll be honest I've only seen violence against people by actual racists and against property by Black Flag anarchists.
