My ex and I are getting a preliminary judgement today on spousal support. It's a gay marriage between me and another man. He wants $3500 in alimony per month. It's impossible for me to pay. My legal fees are 4k /month, rent 1600, credit card debt (that he used) is 1800 and other bills are a few hundred. Where does alimony come from if I'm in such a shitty financial situation? I'm not paying into my 401k and I can't save anything for emergencies. What do I do if it comes out that the judge agrees to $3500?
