I envy the fact that it's socially acceptable for women to show weakness. They're allowed to be insecure, they're allowed to be awkward, they're allowed to be extremely sensitive and overly emotional, etc. As a man, you constantly have to pretend that everything is alright, otherwise you're just a "fragile, toxic manbaby" or whatever.
While this societal phenomenon is often blamed on "toxic masculinity" I've found that the most common reason why men put on an act is to impress women. I always see women virtue-signaling on social media about how they want men to be more "open" yet whenever we do open up, their reactions range from outright disgust to "How can I use that against him?"
I am sick of having to act a certain way all the time just because that's what a "real man" does. I am sick society defining my entire worth as a human being based on some archaic criteria that shouldn't even matter.
