Test applied, red flag and abuse resulted. He dogged a bullet. I think he knows.

He dodged a bullet! He has his whole life as a free man ahead of him!

Finally some positivity and good news on this sub :D

In the event this wasn't staged, I have the utmost confidence that this person was charged for assaulting another person. When it's obvious/proof reaches police, the state absolutely can pick up charges without the victim being the one to press them.. Surely the fact it was a woman assaulting a man means nothing more or less than if it had been reversed, right?

surely

[–]ketsa3 22 points23 points24 points 3 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

is all staged for the cameras.

[–]whtsnk 14 points15 points16 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Exactly. It's not real, it's just manufactured feminist propaganda.

[–]pterabite 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Man that's a bit of a desperate take. Feminism has nothing to do with this.

[–]whtsnk 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

This propaganda piece shows that women can assault men with impunity because men are acceptable targets of violence. But women, being the victim class according to feminism, have the full support of the state apparatus when they claim to be victims (even when such a claim is fully manufactured).

This routine propaganda piece puts forward the feminist position so that it is constantly in people’s faces. So men can know their place.

[–]pterabite 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

If you enjoy just making things up, sure. This is in no way feminist. This is not the feminist position.

[–]whtsnk 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Why is our feminist society comfortable with women abusing men?

The mere fact that the crowd found the woman’s response acceptable is a reaffirmation of the feminist goal of empowering women at the expense of men.

[–]aspie_koala 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Feminism is supposed to protect all victims of domestic violence. Including grown men. It's only called feminism because historically the cards have been stacked against women. Particularly the ones who belong to a ethnic group that is considered "inferior" in any given society, or that are disabled. Or poor, or trans, or other things. Nowadays most feminists are intersectional feminists. Which includes all the people exploited or dehumanised by the system. Because feminists realised that oppressions overlap. And since many decades ago includes men because misogyny also abuses, exploits them, sees them as disposable in a similar but different way than women. And puts them in varied cages that stop their emotional and cognitive development.

Thank you. Obviously a moment created for social media. Shaking my head at how many responders are taking this seriously.

[–]GOLDEN_GRODD 10 points11 points12 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Young people grew up seeing nothing but scripted "reality" content to the point their enjoyment of it is not impacted by the knowledge of if it is real or not.

[–]Sad_Exam_3149 -3 points-2 points-1 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That’s kind of an analogy to most of this group.

[–]traveller1976[S] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I wouldn't judge most of the group through the same lens. I've seen all walks of life and experience here

[–]traveller1976[S] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Even if staged, it reflects the reality of how women oppress men nowadays. It's a necessary demonstration

[–]traveller1976[S] 21 points22 points23 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Funny depending on your perspective, but IMHO this dude totally wasted his time and dignity. She's definitely not worth a ring pop.

[–]duhhhh 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Hopefully he now understands how she deals with conflict and knows to never ever ever give her the real thing. Assault ain't cool.

[–]randomguy7277 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

My wife loved her ring pop.

[–]Algoresball 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There is a good chance that this was a bit

[–]CawlinAlcarz 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

The obvious thing about this is the application of the double standard being applied.

People say that the woman was justified in her violence because the man publically humiliated her.

First off, women publically humiliate men all the fkn time - throwing shitfits, falsely accusing them of harrassment to get them kicked out of a bar or club, it's a daily occurrence.

I wonder if the people who think the woman was justified in assaulting that man think it would be OK for a man to assault a woman who publically humiliated him.

Look people, if you ever have an inkling that your take on an issue might be biased, just switch the genders/races/participants around and see how it plays.

Here is a situation that many people think is OK:

Man publically humiliates woman, woman hits man publically.

Conclusion: Man deserved it, move along, nothing to see here.

Here is your litmus test to see if your conclusion above is a bad or biased take:

Woman publically humiliates man, man hits woman publically.

Conclusion: ???

Every single person looking at this knows good and well that if the guy had struck the woman, eleventy billion people and cops would have jumped on him and beat the shit out of him before arresting him and charging him with felony domestic violence charges. So don't fucking sit here and tell me that she was justified in doing what she did with no repercussions when we ALL fucking know what would have happened if the guy did what she did.

Now the comparison is simple and easy for almost anyone to apply and see the bias... the really difficult part is for some people out there to even have an inkling that there might be a reason to look for a possibility of bias.

[–]pterabite 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No one with half a brain thinks her response was acceptable. He didn't even humiliate her.

[–]_C_B_2_3_ 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Not looking into it too much but the article doesnt even mention much about the slap making it implicitly okay for women to believe its okay to strike a man. Violence is never the answer and good for this dude avoiding this in the future. It could have been stage or it couldve been a test or it couldve been authentic, I just know if a women proposed with a ring pop and the man did exactly what this woman did, he would be sitting behind bars without a shadow of a doubt. If men simply touch a woman its a problem but social media warriors can say that he had it coming.

[–]fakemuseum 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's all staged of course but just imagine if the woman got slapped, what the feed back would be.

[–]Woozuki 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I must have one of the few gems, because mine insists on a ring pop.

[–]traveller1976[S] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You have a one in million gem of a woman

[–]blaizken_420 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Lol, ring pop is appropriate for how much marriage should be worth to men now

[–]theninja4832 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

He dodged a bullet...if it wasn't staged, of course.

I am a woman who came across this feed because I saw the video and was curious about the reaction of others. I am shocked by the number of people who considered HIM the red flag.

I was engaged to a red flag. I'm talking real life sociopath that has so many red flags you could open up a theme park of red flags. Violent, documented in the newspaper, completely one sided scenario red flag. Yes, I know what page I'm on. Point is, I know what a red flag looks like. But this is not on the guy here. I don't think this is an abusive type scenario, but she's definitely the red flag. Some of y'all are going way too far down the rabbit hole with it, but you're right.

It makes her look like a gold digger. She was gasping and the whole nine before he brought out the ring pop and not a diamond.

Maybe it was a cute one liner about being the Jenny to his Forrest. Maybe he was nervous and it was now or never. Maybe, like others have said, he had the real ring in his pocket. Or maybe he was going to let her pick it out herself, or couldn't afford the rock yet she obviously wanted. Either way, dude didn't deserve to get slapped.

It was sweet. But then again, I'm not a gold digger and would have laughed and maybe playfully punched him in the arm after a sweet kiss and a yes. If she couldn't appreciate what he was trying to do then they never would have worked anyway.

[–]traveller1976[S] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Really glad you are a woman that appreciates men. Maybe your man will value that long term.

This video will only prevent more men from committing let alone popping a ring. Every human has dignity and self worth.

[–]scotty_fo_sho74 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Even if his joke was in poor taste, it gives her now right to assault and batter him. Flip the genders and ask yourself if it would be ok for a man to slap a woman like that.

[–]Inevitable_Brain9852 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Wether it’s real or not the reactions to it don’t pass. People are consistently thinking it’s funny to laugh at violence.

[–]munkeybusinessman 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Her response was over the top for sure, and violence shouldn't be condoned. I'm not sure this is a problem we as men need to worry about. Marriage proposals are a big deal. I hate public proposals in general, but this is particularly bad, I would be ashamed to use a 50¢ candy toy to show my devotion. Our actions matter, and this is barely above a prank, even if he was serious.

Again not justifying her response, but men, if your going to propose don't do it in front of thousands of people with a toy. At least use an inexpensive band. You can easily find a classy ring for $50-100.

[–]Melkor7410 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

My wedding ring is a tungsten ring that cost like $35 on Amazon. Looks great.

[–]XoXSmotpokerXoX 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I'm not sure this is a problem we as men need to worry about.

what the fuck are you talking about? Why should men not worry about being abused? She just committed a crime in front of thousands of people and no one gave a fuck

[–]munkeybusinessman -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You're right she did. However the law should be flexible. Take a look at this fella.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_Plauch%C3%A9

If you follow the law to the letter, which many man cannot trust, this fella would have gone down for 30 years for 1st degree murder. It was intentional and planned out. Slam dunk case.

Look dude, I'm not saying it isn't an issue, I just claimed we have bigger fish to fry. Cant die on every hill. Reverse the rolls, if some GF trolled her BF with a ringpop on national TV wouldn't we call her a bitch?

[+]CuriousAndAmazed -11 points-10 points-9 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

What a dick. That’s a f***ed up prank. I would deserve to get slapped if I did that to any girl I cared about or cared about me.

He’s basically saying my commitment to this relationship is a joke to me, and I’ve wasted your time and investment.

[–]traveller1976[S] 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Perhaps it was a prank in poor taste. Her violent insulting response was in poorer taste.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Sorry man but if she wont accept a ring pop then clearly she is more invested in the money than than the actual relationship.

[–]prilexx -5 points-4 points-3 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Y'all are pussies if you are offended by this. I'm all for mans right and shit but for fuck sake, this sounds more like transgenders when they say biology don't matter then mans right activists speaking. You prank a girl, she slaps you, you laugh, later that night you drill her insides and you enjoy.

[–]traveller1976[S] 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Sure if you're into public humiliation and unhealthy relationships, all the power to you

[–]prilexx -3 points-2 points-1 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

You think that that wasn't public humiliation for her??? If so, you are delusional my friend. Plus he is pranking her with something that's extremely important for her. Judging by her reaction she was extremely happy that he wanted to propose so yeah

[–]traveller1976[S] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yeah but we're told women are perfect angels blah blah. I guess the mask drops quick

[–]prilexx -2 points-1 points0 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What? I'm honestly confused by what your saying. I guess that date in your username isn't representing year you were born
