Thanks for posting. I've had a hard time finding the source for some other stats I've seen about fatherless homes but this had the title right in it.

Is this not at the risk of having many compound effects? I.e. being fatherless could be on variable that causes these stats, but I'm guessing the people that end up without a father for the kids likely also are affected by low education, early pregnancy (less mature parent), emotionally unstable perhaps, low socioeconomic and possibly other factors I can't think of currently (and the father likely having similar attributes would be my best guess).

Basically, the hypothetical insertion of the father into these children's lives would not necessarily have fixed these issues. Fairly plausible it could help to some degree though.

Genuine question, how can we both be saying not having a father around is detrimental, and also be advocating for men to have more reproductive rights? Im not disputing that being trapped into being a father doesn't suck, but by demanding the option to opt out of parenting, wouldn't we be contributing to these issues?
