I have another post about how I wasted 12 hours playing Destiny 2 on Saturday, but I just now realized that that was a symptom of burnout.

I was in "go! go! go!" mode for like 6 months. Nothing fun. Just energy drain with sleep to replenish myself.

I "fell for" all the ultra-ascetic "red pill" and "hustle culture" stuff on YouTube, that told me I needed to quit all instant pleasure and go "monk mode" to succeed. I sacrificed a lot of my happiness for progress.

It hit me all at once over the weekend, and I'm fucking burnt out. My motivation to do anything is gone. I got myself to go to the gym once this week, but I'm hardly eating anyways. Just so tired all day. Somebody told me yesterday that I "look like someone ate [my] puppy" lmao

I'm staying up late, sleeping in, and showing up late to everything.

Funny enough, I feel probably the happiest that I've felt in a while. Just a feeling of peace, like I can rest and enjoy the world finally. Like I don't need to accomplish a lot of the pointlessly-large goals I set for myself. I just need to build a lifestyle that makes me happy and fulfilled, not one the fuels all my wildest dreams and fantasies.

Any advice for recovering, and rebuilding a more sustainable life, that will still help me accomplish my goals?
