Quick history... Divorced Since '21... 50-50 custody that is wonky with girls going back and forth from homes each day during the school week. Every other weekend is spent with me too... I kept the house and the ex does not live in my school district where my kids go to school...

- My oldest child is really struggling with school. Missed more than 30 days this school year with most of those absences occurring on the mother's watch.

- The ex just told me not to schedule any more sports or activities on her watch for my youngest who just turned 9. Her argument is that they can't keep up with their clothes... something I do not have an issue with at my home.

Life dealing with the ex is tough.... I hear terms like gaslighting and narcissism being thrown around all the time, but then when they explain what they're talking about it is clear they have no clue. To really live this in real life guys and many of you know. it is difficult. How can you have a convo with someone who swears they never cheated? Who in court goes on a tear-filled diatribe on how she was forced to take your child out of daycare because I refused to pay tuition. I have receipts... she signed her out the entire summer. Everything is a lie... Every issue is my fault. Or someone else's (like my kids) fault. Never hers. We all have to deal with it though. Anyways it appears that I am in pretty good shape to 'win' this (She's called the police several times on my oldest, text messages that show her opinions on the importance of school and other things) but I'd love to hear comments from anyone out there who fought for primary custody. Especially if you had to go to court to fight for it. This will be a big nasty fight....
