It’s easy to keep having kids when you aren’t the one who has to give birth to them and you aren’t the one taking care of them. Also some people just don’t care.

Your post is a bit confusing but sometimes relationships don’t work out and you have to go your seperate ways. Sometimes there are kids involved. No parent should ever abandon their children, but as long as they are still present and still contribute to their children even if they meet someone else and have more children what is the problem?

Tbh I don't think it's necessarily disrespectful to the women. You can have an agreement that if kids are a consequence of the sex, he's still not interested in being monogamous. That doesn't seem like the issue to me.

The issue for me is what happens to the kids. To grow up knowing that your dad has to split his attention among other families and you're not his priority would be pretty fucked up. That's unacceptable.

In terms of both nature and nurture the current situation supports those who cares less: society as a whole effectively mandated that all children are precious and should be supported, while simultaneously lacking the ability/capability to punish those who abdicate/dodge their social responsibilities. Therefor there's multiple perverse worldly incentives to not be good but instead selfish, as the costs are offloaded onto others, while benefits kept.

But genuine moral virtues are independent of material/worldly results! Yes, and that's the consequences that society is facing by embracing such a morally virtuous ideology.

I kind of understand what you are driving at. I have one daughter... I'm not with her mother and have not been for a very long time. I don't want more kids because it would take away some of what I have with my daughter. If her mom wanted more kids and asked me to donate sperm, I would say "yes". If another woman asked me... I'm going to decline. The cost, the time, the energy... it's all more than I want.

That said... there are a ton of low investment fathers who have tons of kids and put zero effort into them. That's a function of very stupid women. If a guy already has a kid, you can literally see how much effort he puts into them before you start sleeping with him. So, there are no excuses in my mind. These guys are dirtbags and the women that have kids with them are no better.

I think if any religion is true, then it's Christianity. It's certainly more true that all the fake social religions people try to follow today.

I'm completely antinatalist. So I think it's the most 'normal' to not breed at all. But if that wasn't the case, if we lived in an abundant world and not a completely dying one than breeding with more than one person makes more sense. Primitively speaking. Because you spread your genes wider. Giving them a better chance of continuing.
