I'm a handyman and always improving and building equity in the home, would it be a good idea for my ex to let me stay in the house and making her richer every month for little risk? She's self imployed so she doesn't have a retirement and I feel like this is a good safety basket for her. She can't do homeownership by her self, it's a 60's house and I'm always fixing something, she'd drown in repair bills. We have 100k in equity but still isn't a good time to sell. We are keeping a good relationship through this, we want to have a healthy coparent situation for our kids. We have plenty of money to find separate nice apartments tell its a good time to buy again. I don't see much of a down side for her, or I'm I missing a pov on her side? We could rent it but that just creates lots of risk for us with little upside.
