What was the moment you realized the red pill was brainwashing you and/or damaging you?

Not a redpill, but incel actually, but I think this still applies. Mind you, this was years ago, when the incel subreddit was still alive and kicking. I had just come across it doomscrolling and was excited to find a group I thought I could relate to. Spent a lot of time lurking there. However, I soon enough began to notice something.

My mood was always darker whenever I was done lurking on the subreddit. My thoughts a bit nastier. I was initially confused by this, so I started paying a lot more attention to what exactly it was I reading. Tried to be more conscious of what it was I was reading.

You can imagine that I quickly rid myself of that crap as quickly as I could.

TLDR: Saw something I liked and could relate to, realized it's effects, got rid of it

I had women that I respect tell me how these channels were not healthy and I even tried approaching women with the red pill ways and mindset but it didn’t amount to much

Well, it's mainly because of my observation that I've become distant from those red-pill guys, how the community behaves and all. I used to watch some of their videos, but that was mainly because my ex-best friend kept sending them my way. I gotta admit, some of their ideas about basic lifestyles make sense to me, you know, common sense stuff. But the problem is, my ex-best friend's insecurities got all mixed up with the red pill propaganda. He's like this super obedient guy who blindly follows whatever Tate or other Red Pill coaches tell him to do. He developed conviction bias where he completely ignores logic and relies on the stats and information those Red Pill coaches feed him. And the crazy part is he only considers sources that align with his biases and completely ignore anything from outside the Red Pill community.

Tldr: It's mostly because of my ex-best friend.

One of my core values is the fact that Im a big minimalist, and I think the first straw for me was when I realized that I started to want wealth just for the sake of being the alpha that everybody wants attention from like Tate. Ive realized I never wanted that in my life, why now suddenly?

Then I started to get paranoid about my distrust about women, I remember one day I started questioning some of the "female nature laws" they all talk about, because if what the red pill says is true then you can never trust a word a female says because "they always say one thing but do the other" which basically disqualifies every single female from rational thought and decision making. Is that fair?

That was a realization that slowly started making this entire chain of harmful beliefs start sounding ridiculous to me.

I remember since that happened, each time Id get a recomentations on red pill shit like F&F podcast etc or J Waller and all them gurus, each time Id just get a headache, be annoyed and just say "oh jesus christ just stfu already" to them in my head. The "TOP 10 REASONS WHY MODERN MEN BAD, TOP 70 REASONS WHY WOMEN ARE INCAPABLE OF RATIONAL THOUGHT, TOP 1037 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD NEVER TRUST A WOMAN, TOP 17368 REASONS WHY YOU NEED TO JOIN MY BROTHERHOOD FOR ONLY $900 A DAY". Like bro I was so DONE with this shit.

Then I started reading actual psychology, from qualified people, Ive done a couple of sessions with a therapist, and a couple months later Im here still healing from that cancer of an ideology but Im doing a lot better, havent been so hopeful for the future in a while, and my relationships with women have never been better, Im working towards being the best authentic person and finding a right person for myself, rather than trying to become a rich player who will "tame female nature". This sub also helped me a ton.

If one embrace redpill because of no sex the only moment to get rid of redpill is when having multiple intercourses with different women just because of smiling more.

I was flared and there for a long time. As the movement started to change and guys started charging I saw things more clearly.

I always suspected something’s didn’t make sense. There were clear fallacies in their processes and ideas. Like on the complete rants of science babble guys would say. Made no sense. Literally.

I also started meeting guys at places like 21 convention and saw that there was no way these guys lived what they supported.

It was a time in my life where I needed to take stock. I fixed a lot of things but most of what red pill declared as truths I never experienced. It just wasn’t the world I knew. It was then I left
