I’m wondering this because of my previous intimate partner. I don’t think he was/is “redpilled” but I don’t know where else to ask this, and this seems like a relevant subreddit. Misogyny comes in different flavors.

His was pretty abhorrent. At least while we weren’t in a relationship. I found out the stuff he posted before we were together and it broke my heart. It was anonymously no less, which makes me think he wasn’t just being edgy on the internet and rather that’s how he really feels. He’s a smart and accomplished man so it’s scary he would so easily fall into this. It makes me feel it’s a mental health concern. He has a really bad relationship with his mom, who I would say was abusive when he was young. At least based off what he’d told me.

I feel as though he was getting better while we were together. But I don’t think I alone could get him over his deep-seated hatred. And I wasn’t trying to anyways. But I’m worried he’ll double down with it since our breakup. I think he also has anger issues. Is misogyny just an anger thing? If he gets help for that, which I will suggest he does. Will that improve the misogyny? Thanks
