I wanted to share my two cents on here again. Many people on this forum fit a certain train of thought.

"Why do other people get a partner and I don't?" And then the anxiety starts.

"am I ugly", "do I need to be more sociable", "what if I'm too fat/poor/uninteresting?"

And before you spiral into these I wanted to give you an outlook on how I managed to get out of this mindset.

And that's... You are looking for something to fill the void and make the pain stop. Will a relationship do that? Probably not. But maybe you know that already. Have you ever considered tho...

That there are things in this world that you don't even know that you are looking for?

To me, the healing mostly came from places that gave me something good that I never expected to come across. An answer to a question I never asked. I wanted a partner but what I actually needed was so different. It was getting to know people. Talking to more diverse groups and getting to see the interests and the joy and the life they had.

You might end up somewhere completely different than you are now and it probably won't be where you are headed to.
