Forgive me if this was posted already but this was apparently yesterday. What a ridiculous concept for a holiday, aren't there already enough celebrations like this? I'm not a fan of these types of celebrations which come off as divisive and pandering, and only instill a sense of entitlement in those they're pandering to. And of course you bring up why there isn't a Men's Equality Day you'll get the usual idiotic retort of how it's everyday, etc. Yes because apparently real and serious inequalities faced by men and boys like boys falling behind badly in schools and comprisong most dropouts, failure to recognize male victims of violence and rape (especially by women), men still required to register for the draft, the lack of resources and shelters that help men, etc. these are apparently not worth rectifying.

In all fairness, I also feel the concept of a Men's Equality Day is equally ridiculous. To me nobody should ever be put on a pedestal or celebrated just for the demographic they belong to, they should be so based on things they've accomplished and what they've done to better the world. Things like gender are beyond irelevant when it comes to that. I feel Men's Equality Day, Women's Equality Day, etc. are equally silly but if women are to get such a day it's only fair men get it too, and of course they won't. So it's not about equality at all but more misandry. No wonder we're so divided with dumb celebrations and holidays like these that accomplish absolutely nothing, other than divisivion and making enemies out of people who don't even know each other.

Me personally, I'm in favor of eliminating all of these types of holidays altogether. Nothing equal about days that pander to men, women, etc.
