It's a no-brainer that yes, men face gender discrimination just as women do but unlike women, it's never taken seriously nor does it have action taken to remedy it. I hate it so much when people say men can't be discriminated against (especially by women) and go off with the usual nonsense that it's because they've never had it as difficult as women. Which is blatantly untrue, both genders have have difficulties and struggles throughout history, but men have never had help to rectify their's. Men have always been forced to register for the draft (and still have to by law), violence against men is largely overlooked (and it's still taboo to acknowledge any sort of female on male violence), it's seldom acknowledged that men are also victims of rape and other sexual violations (especially by women), boys continue to perform poorly in schools, and there's even some abuse and domestic violence shelters that have turned away male victims which is clear discrimination. Men absolutely get discriminated against too, it's just as wrong when it's done to women and it needs to change. Gender discrimination happens to both in different ways, but whenever it's against men it's usually dismissed, which is something that needs to change and is long overdue to.
