Not to say I disagree entirely with her premise in this public lecture, which felt more like a mobilizing effort; climate change, women's issues, racial issues and decolonization, all these things, capitalism too, they are legit issues which hurt both ends of the gender spectrum and everyone in between. For example, this I agree with "there is systemic racism that takes the lives of many through slow and quick forms of violence" men and women and everyone in between for sure are impacted by this alone. But, this I hate "and women, queer, and trans people, especially those who are black and brown, are murdered in many parts of the world at appauling rates" (24:05). The whole lecture is this statement repeated ad nauseum and can be summed up as "attacks on everyone but males" in which male privileging structures are attemping to be upheld for the benefit of 'God's order of creation' [men above women, parents above children, breeders above queers, whites about blacks]. As is usual of ideologs like butler, male bodies are nothing but necessary meat shields for minorities to end this fight "against hierarchy", and if you don't fight for them well...

I don't take kindly to someone who's gonna pretend men have privilege in 2023.

Especially when at (37:50), this woman doesnt acknowledge mens need for rights and the protection of those rights (reproductive rights, his right to have his issues acknowledged and legitimated, his right to bodily autonomy, his right to be treated with humanity i.e. to not be classified as a threat and subsequently to not be victimized by law enforcement because of immutable characteristics he was born with, and to not be killed by those same enforcers who are meant to help him; his right to be seen as a victim, particularly of child alienation; his right to be ackowledge as a victim of rape as a boy, a young man, a man, or grandfather and elder, more specifically, etc...). And again she denies men's rights to peaceful living here (44:12). This hurts both ends of the gender spectrum and everyone in between, if we can't acknowledge that, then idk what the fuck were doing.

This isn't even the worst of it. I'll show you some quotes and then explain my perspective on why I'm showing these quotes, and also why they hold the worst of the worst abuses against men in regards to her competetly denying men a space of humanity in their victimization and a space of humanity in their perpetration. She reiterates this statement multiple times that everyone but men is being killed, but in this reiteration of the statement I was actually completely shocked. Like c.mon... one google search "black deaths per year by gender" gives you this "black men have the highest mortality rate". The level of omission throughout this whole lecture is encapsulated in this one quote. Within it, she offers terminology to (white) women's death and dying that should be and is usually given to the description of the abuses agaisnt (black) male bodies, and I'm not ignoring black female deaths here, but the reality is this. Men get killed more. Black men are the ones being genocided, once again not to ignore the unique aspects of black women's abuses by the police and white men; but butler has the need to stutter through saying "actually, women have the deaths no one cares about" just cause black males get more attention (because they're deaths are more frequent, catastrophic, and soul destroying...in example, Rasheem). She, on top of this, racializes it like the crazy bitch she is, saying black women and nothing else, which makes it clear how black men make her really feel. Like if you wanna laugh about white men dying, that's you, but black men? Other racialized men, like indigenous men? jesus... and she doesn't say this particularly but I do frequently here things like ... lesbians & gay "people" ... not even us lovers of men can escape this matter eraser.

“To realize how many women, and LGBTQIA+ people are seized with fear on the street, in the work place, or in their homes, is to know how pervasive and corrosive that fear can be. It matters how black and brown people under go that fear in proximity to the police, or store owner who regards them with suspicion, how many young black people in the U.S. have their breath choked out of them by self-justifying police, or who knock on a random door of some white persons home only to be shot through the door for knocking.” (1:00:10)

These are black male deaths she is talking about. If you guys don't know about the boy who knocked on the wrong door and the scaried an old white guy who shat his pants and shot a shotty at his closed front door, then you should go google it (I think the kids sitll alive *fingers cross*). She treats these abuses as ungendered, a "people issue" a "skin issue", whilst gendering women’s experiencing and allowing them to have both skin and vaginas. She continues to talk about what I can only assume is black male deaths whilst portrying it as children being harmed and how parents (mothers, I’m assuming, because I’mma guess black fathers don’t exist to her) are the biggest victims hurt by the damage and deaths.

“When the anti-gender movement says that gender will strip you of your sexed identity, they confess the rights stripping that they are doing.” (1:02:45)

This is unironically what she is doing to men, except instead, she is stripping us of gender and subsequently humanity in her language, she is dehumanizing us. Turning male bodies into people, living symbols of the collective, not individuals with their own lives. She is neglecting, at this point, blatantly denying through omission, the traumas that men, from whites to blacks, succumb to in their deaths and their shortened lives. And, who live subpar and menial functions within capitalism with that trauma in them that goes unacknowledged by their families and their spouses and their society, or what simply lives as "non-existant" inside their bodies in the perspective of how these external entities see these men, if they don't get themselves shot or incarcerated for having trauma as male bodied people to begin with.

Look, I watched T. J. Curry long enough [these are the two most important talks he has on the topic: Is Black Male Studies an End of Race-Gender Theory? (1:57:58) & Tough Talks: They Mistook Backlash For A Movment (1:39:06)] and I'm radical enough to say some stupid shit. But this is the real misandry we have been talking about for a while now, and what I have defined for myself here, and what is from my perspective what I have learned as anti-black misandry. Not whatever these dumbfuck MRAs are going on about in their intellectually inbred sub, fucking sexism latte. Like, I don't know if I know enough to drop my dick on the table and say it how it is, that these women are what they are. And they're suppose to be the good "intersectional" pro-queer left-leaning progressive half of the shit storm that is feminism, which us dude bro redditors are suppose to see as the only feminism according to the so called 'true feminist'.

As (black) men's advocates and (black) masculinists (or mras if your one of those), we should treat this as the official statement of the left on the topic of men, specifically black men. They are not allies, abandon them.

We should be center, or if anything, center-left and strictly center-left. Fuck the left.
